The term 'mates' is a loose punch line these days… I'm mates with the 18 year old big chested blonde bar girl at my local too :unamused:

Not convinced a Farah/Ballin combination would work. Both have slowed down somewhat, and I can't see the benefit/effect interchanging them will have. Might as well play one or the other for 80min.

Agreeded….Farah/Cherrington or Ballin/Cherrington might work especially with the reduced interchange...but Farah/Ballin ...what do you gain,but of course if we are going to have six months of Taylorball, they will be perfect

And now that we've signed him, that's where Farah might end up. So would you be so flippant calling Farah a reserve grader?

Didn't the whole Tallis/Farah ordeal only arise after Tallis mentioned "someone" at the Tigers, told him that potter couldn't coach and without naming names…., farahs manager then rang in, calling out Tallis to reveal his source and basically calling Tallis a liar on air? He then under duress revealed farahs name? I'm pretty sure that's how it went down, but I could be wrong...

If does happen and Farah scores for Dragons against WT it would be like when PIg Iron Bob Menzies sent Aussie iron ore to Japan before World War 2 for Japan to makes rifles with to kill our boys.

and if the coach's reason to drop the incumbent NSW hooker and VC for a dozen game rookie and a manly reserve grader is that "i don't like him", then there is something seriously wrong with the coach.

i thought ink was at least half basing it on that farah's abilities have declined, but "abilities mean nothing" and if they're gonna pick a hooker on reputation, it will be farah.

Ballin a reserve grader? Wake up to yourself.

That's what he would have been at Manly if he'd stayed, correctect me if I'm wrong, but didn't they sign Parcell.

Has captained Manly (albeit once or twice)
Key player in their two premierships
Has played origin for QLD, and considered understudy to the ever fit Cam Smith

I wouldn't call Ballin a reserve grader either just because Manly went for youth.

Why not?? You don't seem to have any issues calling a seasoned first grader a reserve grader. You can't pick and choose.

I'm really worried there are going to be idiots boo'ing Ballin if he makes the run-on side instead of Farah for round 1.

I hope Taylor has some sense and takes a slight political tact by starting him on the bench with Farah in the run-on, then slowly reduce Farah's game time (if that's the ultimate goal)

I'm sure Ballin won't give a stuff, strikes me as too much of a professional to care about that.

The hooker off the interchange has to be Cherrington. The future of the club requires that it be him so it means one of the other two will become the NSW Cup hooker.

One more yr in State Cup wouldn't hurt Cherrington.

Firstly both Robbie and Ballin are first grade hookers (both fine players, my opinion is that at their absolute best Robbie has a fair bit more attacking skills than Ballin and their defence is about even).

I would not want both in the same squad, both are getting too slow and to change one with the other during a game would not make a lot of difference.

You play Cherrington in the NSW cup for a year and he will be gone to another club the year after. He in my opinion does everything at speed and is a dynamic hooker (much like Robbie was when he took over from Senter). I have some doubts about his defence but in our side he is not alone on that count. Attack wise he has to be in the 17.

The whole get rid of Robbie thing would have made a lot more sense to me if JT said it was because he had faith in Cherrington to be the hooker going forward. The whole keeping Robbie and signing Ballin does not make sense to me. Sure sign Ballin once Robbie was gone.

I for one would hate to lose Cherrington as I think he is going to be a well above average NRL hooker.
