Robbie Farah..Discussion Thread.....

If we need to let history go, I say let JT go.

He took us from a very nice attacking team to a boring bunch of plodders overnight.

Farah is the incumbent NSW hoooker.

One has form….the other.......

That's my biggest worry, the NRL is the reducing the interchange, hence emphasis increasingly will be on attack, we are going the other direction when in the past years when we had the ultimate attacking team the slow defensive play with big plodders and wrestling was the key to success.

6th best attack on the comp.

Overachieving to finish second last. It's all JT.

When he's in the middle of a job? If you hire someone to renovate your bathroom and they start by tearing it down, do you tell them to get out of your house?

I am not sure about that. The forwards we have recruited are not big boppers, but forwards able to play big minutes and offload the ball. I think that we will have a very mobile side, will be interesting to see the tactics used. If we try to play 5 hit-ups and kick, it will be a very ordinary year. I think the results this year (and likely JT's future) will depend on recognising the teams strengths and playing to them.

I've lost track now, is this where we are at? Have I missed anything?

**Breakdown of my understanding so far:**
- Taylor told Farah he is no longer wanted and allowed to explore his options
- Farah dug his heels in and said he wishes to stay
- Taylor/Reddy told Farah if he does that he will be playing reserve grade
- Pascoe joined the club and attempted to resolve the Farah/Taylor situation
- Farah relinquishes the captaincy
- Taylor says Farah will still be at the club next year and will be considered for selection in first grade.
- Farah requests release from Wests Tigers
- Wests Tigers deny Farah a release
- Wests Tigers offer Farah a new 4 year deal

"Farah, former Tigers chairman Di Girolamo and playmakers Luke Brooks and Mitchell Moses were spotted deep in conversation at the Hunters Hill Hotel on Friday night as the NSW hooker considered his exit strategy."

I feel for Farah. It's not his fault the club offered him overs, and he obviously had his heart set on being a one club man.

BUT, tactics like this are blatantly designed to screw the club over as much as possible. Then to have his lawyer publicly question the coach's position? It's sickening. I've lost all respect.

That and 250 pages of if's ,rumours and soul searching

I think this is just a ploy by Farah to get rid of Taylor, just another coaching scalp he has collected

Last throw of the dice I imagine

He still has a supporter or two in high places I'm guessing

Unfortunately the supporters probably don't carry much say at the moment (if you get my drift )

As I saw it:

Club seriously underachieving for years
Club in terrible position and not improving
Club still a joke and board scrapped
New board appointed and devises future strategy, something club never had.
Old coach punted and new coach appointed with strategy and direction
Very average year, but change of direction obvious
New Coach Taylor being attacked from all angles, and potentially justifiably fromm some angles.
Several players, including Farah, given permission by club to explore options. All promised contract would be paid, so not a money issue
Some players do that and leave, nothing from Farah or Lawrence.
Farah told by someone (Reddy?) that he will be in NSW cup if he stays.
New CEO arrives to replace the old imbecile and more direction obvious
Reddy punted.
Lawrence gets on with business.
Farah decides to stick solid and stay (publicly) but is clearly negotiating behind the scenes (privately). Either confused, lying or misrepresented.
Tapau says he is staying, but goes.
Numerous 'leaks' everywhere to 'questionable' journalists.
Lawrence gets on with business, still.
Sort of independent lawyer (is there such a thing) also stirring the pot.
Farah requests release.
Tigers at this stage HAVE NOT SAID NO, but wish to talk terms to reach a mutually agreeable solution, which was always the case.

And I think that's where we are at.

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO….Achieved before new Club announced..... 250...
:wahoo:

New target 275...big ask...

There are some extremely unhappy folk getting dragged into this saga by managers and certain media types....

Sort of like being told if you intend to see out the remaining 2 years of your contract you'll play NSW Cup.

The coach…. You know, the one who chooses the team... said he'd be considered for round one.... Selective quoting

The person who made the Reggie's comment has been sacked!

Your agenda is pathetic

Yes if they teared down the wrong bathroom

If that is the one Fifita was in , yes

Until these boys prove themselves on the footy field there would be no hot water , broken tiles, no mirrors :astonished: and roaches scurrying everywhere

Farah revealed after a golden-point loss in 2010 that he deals with defeat by shutting himself off from family, friends and teammates, and has gone to such lengths as to turn his phone off for 36 hours after a game.

Some leader!

His phone would have been off quite a bit over the past few seasons.

Pascoe must have lined up Ivan Cleary.
If this article is true he has to know backflipping on Farah means parting ways with Taylor.
The situation is untenable and it looks like the reason Brooks and Moses have extended their option date.

That would be legit the best thing that could happen.

And you know what it makes sense. Moss and Pascoe, Cleary jobless and can't leave Sydney for family reasons… We'd be nuts if we didn't tbh.

I must admit to enjoying watching Penrith play….always nice and free flowing.

Plenty of ball movement!!

Cleary yes please!
