Robbie Farah..Discussion Thread.....

Parra made a similar call on Daniel Anderson when he fell out with Jarryd Hayne. Maybe ceo has read the public reaction, seen the power Robbie has within the media and will toss Taylor out. Elite players have a way of winning these battles, whether their right or wrong

Game, set and match, the tigers have blinked, there it is…

they will spin it every which way, but it's all over, the tigers have to keep him and Taylor's days are numbered.

“We are looking at a number of options with Robbie, including what role he may play with Wests Tigers once he finishes his playing career,” he said. “Robbie is approaching 250 games with Wests Tigers and any Club would be open to having a player of that experience involved in an Ambassador role after their retirement.

But Robbie and Sammy sent Justin an email on Friday saying they wanna take their money and leave…

yep, and what has come out of it? the above quote, you seem to be able to work through the misinformation, but that is a direct wests tigers quote. I'm very sure where this is heading now.

Its all just words from the club. Farah knows his first grade career is over if he stays. That's why he asked for a release and nothing has changed.

with all due respect, i disagree, Farah will be playing at the tigers next year, read what the wests tigers wrote, i'm sure that they spent a lot of time and effort making sure the wording was correct, well, i hope they did.

Once a player asks for a release that's it. Why would Farah ask for a release only to get talked into staying by a club who a week ago didn't want him?

CEO might have gone above Taylor

Simple really

What? Just now?
He's stuck solid with Taylor all this time and when Farah finally asks for a release he decides to change horses?
That doesn't really add up

Keep going, you'll manage to convince yourself that your right,

He seems to get it wrong quite a lot!

Like the 4 yr contract that doesn't exist?

No ones talking about a 4 yr playing contract, the only contract I've seen anything about is something to do with after his playing days, a strange thing to offer someone who you allegedly want out.
The confidence is starting to waver thereGNR
Don't worry , we'll be there to help you through it if JT has another backflip and resigns

There is no allegedly …Farah has asked for a release,,,,Why is this all of a sudden being ignored,,,If he hadn't we would be back on page 235,,,,I get that you believe in Farah power,,,Has he taken back his request,,,?

No offers our new contracts have been made...the release will be granted as long as it's agreeable to both parties..If not see you Round 1,,,

In the statement the club was specific in saying they wouldn't do anything that would risk putting themselves in further financial strain. I don't think that means they then turn around and sack their coach and all of a sudden have to pay him out 2 yrs worth of his contract, PLUS pay a new coach on top of that. All you JT death riders feel free to maintain that fantasy though.

He is safe until April. Go and the board and JT will be sacked when Balmain has to front with the cash. The club won't lose brooks and Moses to retain Taylor. It should happen earlier but it won't as our executive team won't admit they are an abject failure.

Well, its not like it would be something new now would it?
Coach notch number three on Robbies belt.

Fair enough. I suppose we can only take the club on their word. I get the feeling they're just saying all the right things though.

Then you clearly don't read any of these posts. Starting your post off with this was rather irrelevant as it was a only a segway you could use to throw a jab. I will maintain that you are an extremely naive individual if you still believe Farah will be here after voluntarily asking the club for a release.

The only way I see Farah in Wests Tigers colours next year is if Taylor gets sacked as a Coach, the only reason I say that is I'm sure everyone was lead to believe that things were slowly getting sorted between JT and Farah? But obviously Farah deep down was just being Professional going to training, give up his Captaincy, played the right tunes while things were happening in the background.
Obviously Farah doesn't want to be here if Taylor is here and the Ballin signing was the tip of the ice berg IMO.

Wow good luck selling Memberships, this seems a long way off being resolved and it's gotten very personal.

The writing is on the wall here the acrobatics coming out of Concord from both camps is of Olympic proportions , Taylor will be gone and we will have more hookers than King's Cross.

Maybe he thought paying 700-800K for 2 years to watch one of your SOO reps play for another club doesn't add up either?

It would be funny timing if true.

the " allegedly" wasn't referring to Farah asking for a release, but that's not important anyway.
Yes, Robbie has asked for a release , as him or any other player is entitled to do, this was in the aftermath of being told by Taylor on multiple occasions, that they wanted him to go , even after telling him that he could stay JT and Pascoe told him that he could still talk to other clubs.)

So far the club has refused a release, and some type of offer over a later contract ( not playing) was put on the table( even WTs have confirmed that.

It all depends on whether Pascoe can come up with something that Farah will accept.
There's nothing to say that just because he requested a release, that he will go
If the terms are right, I wouldn't be surprised if he stays, as he is still entitled too
