@ghost said:Our attack???U mean the one game the side threw it around and Robbie had a field day.
Take that away and it was inept.
High point the zero we scored against the Thurston-less Cowpats, but many other solid displays of lucklustre attack.
I guess we do have our own JT to thank for the magnificent mid field bomb!!
That'll bring the crowds in and get the memberships soaring!
@Eddie said:@Russell said:@Eddie said:Some fans and media like Paul Kent have tried to paint Farah as someone who is unpopular among his team mates. Which looks like it could not be further from truth from quotes from a number of players and reactions in the last 2 games.
Although I did like Benji's honest insight into the type of character Farah could be in his younger days. To be honest, it made me like Farah more. While the boys club were hanging out and moving on after another loss Farah wouldn't talk to them for 2 days. It was a soft culture under Sheens and thats where the boys club began.
In some respects its poor leadership but I still think if we had more characters like Robbie over the year we would be better off not worse off. Guys like Chris Lawrence are worshipped on here but he has played about 10 good games since 2011 and spent half the time on the sideline. But he's a good bloke.
Rowdy is a better "Bloke" than Farah - That is my definite opinion.
Whether he has played 1 good game and Farah has played 200.
Thanks for proving my point!
@Eddie said:My point was some of our fans like players because they are good blokes and doesn't matter what they do on the field. Then you came right in and backed it up. So cheers….

The Club intends on treating Farah with the upmost respect during this process and will make no further comment until his playing future is decided.
Yes, I'm glad you mention this because the news.com.au article on the previous page states this -
"Tigers coach Jason Taylor recently said he and Farah had worked through the majority of their issues. While that might be Taylor’s take on their relationship, it is hard to see how Farah could possibly view that as the case **given the disrespect the club has shown him in recent months**."
No doubt Pascoe has considered moving Taylor sideways into a lesser position, sort of like Farah giving up the captaincy, so a new coach can be appointed.
You realize your comparing a quote from a CEO involved to a opinion from a Telegraph reporter yeah? The quote form the telegraph is completely subjective. I think there is much better analysis on this forum to be honest.
This "disrespect' shown to Farah… tell me about it? Got examples? When did anyone show him disrespect besides this "reserve grade" quote which to be honest, is something any coach can tell any player. p.s. Telling someone they can look around is not disrespect.
To give you a perfect parallel - Was Sandow disrespected when he was pushed to Reserves? Had nothing to do with his ability, but everything to do with the respect he showed the coach. Sound familiar?
I honestly think it's a pretty fair call from who ever said it if Robbie was unwilling to listen to the coach or tried to undermine him. The only difference is that Sandow came out in the media and said it, where as the tigers have been respectable to Robbie and not mentioned what he has done to cause these kind of comments. I can tell you, it would definitely not be nothing.

A news ltd journo's opinion is now fact?
Someone asked in a thread why do these journos write do much crap? Here is your answer.

No that only happens if he was being critical of Farah Or his manager,
there'd be a few here who would nominate him for a Walkley Award for doing that :roll
Hypocrisy is alive and well

The point is imo…. FARAH isn't a good Bloke compared to Rowdy.[/quote
Know them both personally do you? :unamused:
@TrueTiger said:Hey GCT,apparently JT has said he and Farah have worked through most of their issues…
As far as I'm concerned Taylor is the coach..Farah is the player and I don't care how long he has been here...coach is the boss, irrespective of your opinion of him which we are all familiar with...if Robbie can't be told he is playing reserve grade if his form justifies it,then that's what has to happen...I couldn't careless what a club legend he has been..he has been paid big money for to long..."familiarity breeds contempt"..not a bad old saying...

You are spinning this. Its a non-issue and you are trying to make it into an issue.
