I don't care if you think Farah is a better player, its irrelevant to the point.

that IS my point.not many would disagree with that either.

farah and ballin are in the same boat in the sense that long serving players were asked to move away. ballin was asked to move away coz manly signed someone else (hence the reserve grade comment), farah was asked to move despite no other options.

farah will never play reserve grade, he's not a reserve grader. ballin on the other hand would've played reserve grade for sure.

my main point that farah WILL be in #9 rd 1 still stands, despite balling being a reserve grader or not.

Simple really, isn't it.

You've got nothing to apologise for tig - you were right the first time.
Ballin would have been in reserves at Manly next year on form - at this stage of his career they believe they have better players to take his spot.
That's not bagging his past.
On the other hand, the only way Farah is in reserves next year won't be based on form - it will be based on spite from the coach.

Spot on.

In the event Farah was to be here Round 1? It would be on what you have said if in Reserve Grade.
A very dangerous game as Cherrington will be asking his Manager to find him another Club if Farah was to see out the next 2 years?

If Farah playing reserve grade isn't a realistic possibility, what was Ballin signed for? Especially when the topic of Farah and reserve grade has already been broached.

And this thread goes on,on,on and on.

A Mod should seriously close this thread, no one's mind will be changed from what we are regurgitating.

True FT. It's definitely one of the most popular threads on here. Can't stay away.

lol we're going in circles, ballin might've been signed to push farah out, make him feel unwanted, maybe to push farah to do better but he wasn't signed to make farah play reserve grade.

back to my main point, unless we sign cameron smith, farah IS NOT going to play reserve grade with WT.

Correct

thanks, felt like i was losing my mind going around in circles.

also, in no way am i disrespecting ballin by calling him a reserve grader. from all accounts, sounds like a top bloke. but as a player, he's miles behind farah and is gonna get worse after his injury.

He's played over 200 games yet you spoke about him like he was Josh Drinkwater.

But you weren't disrespecting him

lol i find it so funny that you keep missing the main point and focus on the little things on my post.

to answer your question, if it doesn't push farah out JT has shot himself in the foot by hiring 3 hookers who are likely to command good coin. In fact, i was against his signing from the outset.

Before you go nitpicking in other posts, let's just call it a truce and move on. i don't think you or i have the energy to argue anymore.

Let's be frank, many Eagles' supporters will tell you yes Ballin is a good club player, good club man, never hear a bad word spoken about him, no attacking game and at near 32, the best he could hope for next season was a few minutes off the interchange. Ask Bob Fulton.

i wonder what the odds were of ballin starting the year in reserve grade rd 1 if he was with manly

I don't call a truce when someone is showing themselves to be as ignorant as you have over this.

It hasn't even been stated anywhere that he was bound for reserve grade next yr if he stayed at Manly. It's your opinion.

@tig_prmz said:
sweet, i guess only trent barret can settle this argument then. until then, truce?

No he can't, Ballin is no longer at Manly.

Farah is in the eaxct same position as Ballin.

Not wanted.

You can cut it any way you want. His efforts last year are completely subjective but the one person who it mattered to, just like Ballin, was the coach and now he is being bounced.

Benji is waiting with open arms ,heart and mind

Lote left and won a GF when everyone thought he as dead

Blair left and made the GF playing great football

Benji made the Top 8 and played well.

Robbie really should be looking at this. Our rabble doesnt deserve him really.

3 years ago a club having the spine of Dugan ,Widdop ,Marshall and Farah sounds mind blowingly good

Now its seems mind blowingly stupid if the Saints take on both Marshall and Farah , firstly they are well past their best and secondly Mary McGregor would be very nervous looking at the WT's past in regards to how they like to run the entire show
