@gallagher said:
Let Farah pick the next coach. If we dont win the comp in one year then they can both f*ck off.

Agree. That'll learn ya

This thread is ridiculous. This forum is dead set weird.

Reading stuff into something that just isnt happening.

Putting rubbish on a champ like farah with no evidence whatsoever is bordering on manic.

But if Hadley or the tele says it ,it must be true.

Hilarious…..what a bunch of clowns.

Simon

You will defend Robbie until the cows come home. His attitude towards Potter in press conference all year combined with his refusal to speak out in support of him says volumes for Farah's views on Potter.

Its clear Farah and Potter dont have a good relationship. Who is to blame for that? I dont know the answer to that question.

Exactly, if there was no issue Farah would have said so straight out like the time he got stuck into Johns over the Benji rift, but he didn't. He danced around the question like a politician.

I dont know all the facts but when you read between the lines it does not look good one thing I do know is we can't pay 3 coaches due to personality issues, if anyone else thinks we should your deluded.
I would just love Farrah to come out and man up for his coach as captain but all you get are these wishy washy statements, who runs the club?
The lunatics it seems.

Hilarious.

I think Robbie should make a porno with Potter to show he is right behind our coach.

100%!!

Good onya for being so one eyed that's your opinion and your entitled to it as I am with mine, if you think everything is rosy keep thinking that pal, our club is a shambles from top to bottom and a club captain IMO needs to step up along with the players, board and coaching staff and pull together.
Obviously not going to happen so we will remain a joke for the foreseeable future.

I think peeps are reading WAY too much into stuff thats being said.

Its overkill. And blaming a bloke that has given his all year after year, and re-signed for us when we are going crap is just NOT On in my book.

Robbie is our gun player and super loyal and deserves better from so called fans.

IMO bagging him out is a disgrace. And its based on bugger all which makes it even worse.

Difference of opinion then, yes he is a gun yes I like him as a player and respect him on that level, but I do think he has other responsibilities to our club. As do others that aren't stepping up either,it's not all on Robbie but I'm not sure you can say just because your a good player no fault can be put on you, if the culture is toxic he is a part of that as are all the others involved.
I really hope that all this is making mountains out of molehills, but there is far too much smoke.

People have long memories Farah wasn't impressed about getting benched v Manly

Maybe Robbie is still holding onto that grudge

Ps…..Benching Robbie in that game was ridiculous,

Thankfully it has never happened again, but it did weaken my confidence in Potter's ability to coach at this level.

I did read it…u inferred he held a grudge..which is fair enough.

Re-read what i said.....based on what??

What has Robbie said or done that makes you think he does not like Potter. And even if he doesnt wont give 100% for the club.

Is it reading between the lines, telegraph hearsay,or something a little bit more tangible??

It is very clear based on Farah’s interview in radio and the very un supportive press release by Mayer yesterday that Potter is a dead man walking.
It is very clear that Marshall and Farah have significant influence in the club, to the extent they are almost running it and dictating terms.
It is very clear that no matter who was coach this year Benji would’ve sought a way out of his contract and left the Tigers and the NRL as he deep down realises(but won’t admit it) he can’t cut it in the NRL like he used to.
It is very clear whoever they appoint to coach next year HAS to be someone the influential players want….so why not appoint these influential players on the recruitment committee?...this way they can be held accountable for their performances and not pass the buck to the poor ole coach.

I am still stuck on the 'Roycey has got a new job lined up' quote.

This needs its own thread.

Witch hat salesperson?
2014 Origin coach?

After his stunning work lately ( his ESL team recorded their worst ever start to a season before he was fired and thenthe tigers collapsed to finish a likely second last) surely the great man is going to be an Origin assistant or something? No one with this level of ability ever lands on their feet like Royce!

royce must have photos of people in high places, in some what explicate postions or what, as he allways falls on his feet.

I don't think anyone would question Robbies desire on the field it's there for all to see…..

If you can look at the Post Match presso after that game Robbie was pissed

And his initial interviews after Benjis release he wasn't happy either

Again Im asking the question "Is Robbie still pissed and wants Potter gone ???"

And I haven't questioned Robbie on field performances ,where that came from astounds me

And if you read what I said in another thread , my belief is the only people I can imagine that will want Potter gone will be the board

Robbie wouldn't have resigned if he wasn't happy , the only things I can think that has happened that is public knowledge is the benching during the Manly game and the arguments they were having in regards to Miller not stepping up

Simon's way to protective here. No one is saying that don't like Farah or questioning his loyalty, just found it odd considering he didn't make his support clear. If everything was rosey he'd have played it with a straight bat and said something like ''me and the boys are behind him 100%'', instead we got a ''thats the boards decision'' type of comment. Its clear something isn't right there. And saying that isn't the end of the world Simon
