Did you see the interview ? He answered the question and then continued on in his praise of Farah . They asked other players as well who all made it clear they preferred him in the team and how he had helped their games …. with the disclaimer that it's not their job to select the team .
Very interesting little segment on NRL Tonight.

Was it about ETs comments ?

Also had the support of Jesse Sue and Ava - in the same interview. Jesse credited him for helping him develop his game and Ava said he was a mate
In fact the only bagging of Farah as a person seems to come from the people who don't know him but think they do.
Please enlighten me if you know him personally.

Didn't see that bit, was that the Tele one or the Smh interview?

And crickets as they say

On Fox sports the three of them all interviewed - most time spent with ET The article sounds like it was written from the interview.

Farah is a prickly character, not very endearing, but JT is as bad or worse in his man management and people skills, I would bet there are quite a few players who dislike him and want him gone.

He may be a prickly, moody, unpleasant sort of bloke, but the bottom line we pay him to play football and he still dose that better than most, certainly at our club. After being at the ground for the Dragons game, no-one can convince me the so called cohesion was better.
These games have to stop and we have to pick the best 17, than at seasons end do what you have to and for what ever reason

Look, if they DO want to "encourage" him to leave, waiting until the end of the year is just not going to work. Rosters will be full.

As for cohesion, there's no doubt Halatau passes from the ground a lot more than Farah. We'd be pretty good without Farah if Liddle could play, but that period with Rankin at dummy half was pretty ugly.

I had seen the same article . Only it it was in the telegraph and Taylor said that Farah had provided plenty of early ball to the halves, and was very supportive. It surprised me how much.

This is only being factual about the situation. It's good to see that he is being supportive though. ET seems like a good person.

ET is a person who has had humble beginnings
I remember the commentators mentioning he grew up with no power, i suspect he hasnt forgotten his grass roots and he appears a lot more grounded than most people who touch fame and $$ in NRL

Personally never met the bloke but i share the same opinion of him being a good person (from what i have seen of him)

Farah BS aside, actually quite impressed with ET in that interview. Seems like a very well spoken fella.

I think there could be quite a bit of substance to this interview….eg..the NRL is a theatre, its entertainment and sport, there is huge amounts of money offered to these actors within the theatre...JT said RF could play reserves at some stage, whilst still leaving the door open for him to play NRL and reach his milestone of 250 games, this remains to be seen, however,I reckon ET has eluded to that by saying we will see RF play in NRL again this year..as far as paying out RF and letting him go with what is owed to him,you can't tell me the West Ashfield group couldn't afford to pay him and resolve this issue as it is,its the structure of the salary cap that would hinder this, and previous admin were incompetent at the time of back ending deals...a mess but definitely entertainment on the big stage...

"The coach has told him what he needs to do and he'll do it. He wants to play first grade … we need him in the team."

This is really the quote that carries the most substance. Everything else is a team mate providing positive support to another team mate.

gee,so much for the media ban.

that workedj t.

whats your next move.

The media ban was probably just for the lead up into the Dragons game. You can't gag the playing roster permanently.

And you claim you want Farah gone as well

Elijah Taylor on signing with us came out with Praise for the Coach..that was fobbed off as him just saying that….At the same time he didn't bag out his previous Coach for him not being in his plans moving forward...

Elijah is a genuine class act would expect nothing less from him in supporting a fellow teammate.....

Just like when Ava re-signed last yr. Apparently only re-signed because he knew Taylor was leaving. Someone even tried to use the same excuse when Sue re-signed.

Just like the players are hardly going to come out and bag the coach hey??!!

Or does it only work one way for you?

Elijah Taylor went on to praise Farah in depth. But he obviously didnt mean it!

Taylor has been here for a cup of coffee. I wouldn't expect him to have any issues with Farah.

Of course….

But finish the sentence mate please!!

"the rest of them have been around long enough to hate him"

Including others like Woods, Teddy and co who have said similar things.
