There is only so much this guy can do without him we would be getting punished by 40 every week.

I think if Tim sheens wasn't the Australia coach Robbie would be there in place of Gidley. I don't think Kurt deserves to be there.

Robbie can only play hooker at international level. He can at a stretch cover halfback. He can not cover anywhere else. Therefore as good as he is, selecting him on the bench at international level is a wasted interchange spot. I don't rate Gidley too highly but he can cover the backs and Smith. He also has a tonne of experience.

Robbie needs to lead NSW to a serious win and thoroughly out play Smith. This is the first step. He then needs to take every chance he gets in the W.C. and again out play Smith. It would also be helpful for his club side to play finals Footy. All this combined should help him arrest the starting 9 off Smith. Towards the end of next year.

I have no doubts that Robbie is in the top percent of players in the game, but I get the feeling he does alot of it from auto-pilot. He is a bit behind Smith in the way of summing up numbers and options. I agree it may be because of the stock he plays with week to week, but he doesnt seem to analyse the options as well.

I'm disappointed for Robbie but that's all. Honestly, it will give him some hunger and now having being ruled out for City he get's a breather. Touch wood the scans come back with good news and all he misses is a rep game.

He's the greatest player the west tigers have had. What would we do without him.

Farah has always undisputedly been behind Smith. The gap is shrinking rapidly. I think he's outplayed Smith this year but Stryker summed it up pretty well in terms of what it's going to take to dislodge Smith at rep level.

While Smith has the form and his weekend spine in the Australian side Farah will never be the Australian Hooker. He's also only a hooker and not a utility.

Smith is looking a bit punchdrunk this year for storm.He isn't a massive guy ,but either is Robbie.
