Robbie - Gone as an attacking threat?

He was great last night…was a bit of the old Robbie stuff ups and all...

Was a big part of the reason we won..

He seemed a lot calmer and relaxed last night

After Lawrence was our next best imo

Could feel the knives in the back when he went himself and stuffed it up

And rightly so. I hate those plays that he makes. I feel he isn't being judged fairly on here though. He has been pretty good for us and the players appear to like him. Taylor gave him a wrap a couple of weeks ago as well.

I disagree slightly on that.

If you go through his career highlights he has scored PLENTY of tries from dummy half a few yards out.

If you stuff it up you deserve a bagging however particularly earlier in his career this play has led to number of 4 pointers.

Eddie it has been a long time since he has done it regularly.

Robbie was good last night. Close to very good except that as always he threw quite a few poor passes from dummy half.

Best number 9 in the squad at the moment and we benefit from having him play 80 but Im still hoping it is his last season.

He shouldn't do it unless he retains the ball and it should be done so rarely on the 5th tackle. He has always had too many hog plays in him. He has been great for us but I can't accept those plays.

I have bagged him, but he was good last night generally. Other than Brook's he was the other kicking game int the team

I think overall he has been good and against Souths he was instrumental in several tries. Sure, his skills have dwindled, and his dummy half runs for the try line are a tad selfish, but he is still a quality, smart first grade hooker. I think he needs to take on more of the grubbing kicking duties because repeat sets are crucial for the Tigers.

Farah will always go down as a club legend, part of 2005\. But there comes a point where its time to move on. We have a future rep player playing nsw cup ( cherrington) and we lose him if we dont start playing him. Remember we are 2/2 with cherrington at dummy half.

Farah was the main reason we won last night, had a hand in 2 Tries , gave us repeat sets with his short kicking game , also had some good kicks that found the touchline, 38 tackles and played 80 minutes.

Made a selfish play at trying to score from dummy half and at times was slow getting the ball out to Brooks.
Yeah his certainly past his best no doubt but gave it his all like the other 16 players did.
Consistency is the key.

Where is the form Robbie showed against the Warriors in the game last year when there was the big media buzz about his future?
He didnt struggle for attacking ability that day.

Hope he did enough for you last night

It the consistency that is the problem.

Robbie was great last night.

and he was last great in rd 25 vs the Warriors.

He was ordinary in the other games since his return.

Having said that, for 900k per year, I'd like "Cameron Smith-esque" Consistently great.

UD even the great C Smith, is showing signs of wear and tear.

The difference is Cam Smith bribes the Refs

Lol FT. And here I'am thinking it's his gold tongue that convinces the referees, to look the other way!

Direct your anger to the coaching staff, as Farah is playing the way they want him to.

Farah has been one dimensional since returning from injury this season, but against the rabbits he seemed to have some of that flair again so may be he has turned the corner, or Taylor has given him some freedom. It also could have been because Souths were diabolical

Or is he playing the way he wants to and the coaching staff can't do anything about it.

Not saying it is true, just a different take.

As much as people might not want to believe it, I think his and JT's relationship is pretty good atm. He sounded pretty genuine to me after the game when he said the Canberra game wasn't on him but the players and they owed him the victory.

The only people who believe that clearly haven't seen Farah's natural game.

I agree. I also heard JT give him a massive wrap in a previous game. It's like the JT supporters want Farah to be the enemy and another segment want JT to be blamed for Robbie's form (which hasn't been that bad).

I remember seeing a stat where he was getting close to being the highest try-scoring hooker in NRL (& NSWRL) history. He has slowed to a crawl in getting his own 4-pointers in the last couple years though.
