Robert Jennings - How Long?

I would love to see a young winger/centre promoted to replace Jennings. Give Zac Cini a chance in firsts and see how he goes.

@Newtown I think Zac cini is still on a development contract, correct me if I’m wrong.

Yes I think you’re right .... and you don’t want to promote a player with potential that is still finding his feet in lower grades.
Seen it too many times .... young players promoted early and career of 1 NRL game follows.

Actually Cini is only on a Flegg contract this year. Development kicks in next year. Currently isn't eligible for first grade until July next year. Baffling to me. He has everything we're missing. Sure his game's not perfect but he's a kid who has a hell of a lot of upside. Compared to Marsters, Mbye, Jennings, Nof, this guy has x factor. Even compared to Talau and Bradley this guy is far more dynamic and elusive - and he's actually a natural outside back, not a manufactured one. He has to be promoted to our top 30 in the off-season.

Jennings simply has to be dropped. He looks very unfit and lazy. Hands on his hips after every 'hit-up'. His hit ups involved slowly jogging sideways or even offloading the responsibility to Thompson.

It's not an accident the Eels targeted him all game. He's the weakest link in the weakest backline in the comp.

Having him and Mbye next to each other is a death wish. Both are awful in defence. Atrocious. No surprise that all 4 of their tries came down that side.

Get the excess weight of him and with a tough Maguire off season including sprint training he then becomes useful. At present vI don't believe exposing an 18 year old winger to the NRL especially when our forwards are struggling is the best outcome.

Ive been thinking over this... and i think i have come to a reasonable conclusion...... jennings is still "over his head"...... he was the person with the most tries last year at souffs, and so naturally he comes to think of himself as a one man band. He has a bit of talent in him l, which is why i think Madge snagged him. So the best fix for this i belive, is to put him in reserve grade for a bit until he comes around, and that talent starts to shine...... this is just my opinion

@pawsandclaws1 In a comparison on current form, Jennings is to great a liability. There's nothing to be lost by giving a 19 year old a chance. Worst case, he's as bad as Jennings is but hopefully learns from it. Can put him back to CC to keep wokring on his game. Best case, he adds value to the team and helps us win games.

Imagine bradley vs fergo last night.....

Would of been a different result ![Screenshot_20190715-124504_Chrome.jpg](/assets/uploads/files/1563158757886-screenshot_20190715-124504_chrome.jpg)

He was a late season signing and did not train with Souths but by the looks of it he did it on his own at local Maccas.
Same body shape as his older brother and I’m afraid the same laid back attitude.
May improve with strict diet and training regime in off season .... but done for this year. Madge missed the mark there but then the guy was great last year playing outside speedy talented centre combo.

He did score a heap of tries last year but if you look at them he had to do very little to score.In most cases it was just catch the ball and fall over the line

@Newtown
we couldnt do any worse seriously, people that have signed and played like ahh pfft its only the tigers, im only here for the money. i.e after signed form dropped..
Robert Jennings
Esan Masters
David Nofaluma (a year or two ago)
and ofcause those 3 end of career forwards on top dollar.
thes guys need to go back to reserve grade, i think madge is great but i blame him also for some of our loses where as by he repeatedly picks out of form players, sticks with players playing terribly, if you dropped them 3? put young centres/wingers that would die for the tigers and the chance to highlight on the big stage. could we do any worse then current wings/centres, what happened to the tigers speed of yesteryear wing =speed since we sold josh ado carr and Tedesco speed is no longer existent at the tigers all slow and too much hard work for them it looks like Esan masters form is exactly like his kicking, but madge never stops picking these guys. ofcause if you keep getting picked for first grade every week when playing badly, you will never get better or even try to,whats in it for you, you still get the same money, coach still picks u why even put body on the line

How you can accuse Nofo of being guilty of not trying is incredible.He has been one of those players who puts in each and every game and plays like he is very proud to be a WT.We need more players with his attitude,Esan Marsters i feel has been carrying an injury and it is effecting his confidence as well as his game.Jennings was a dreadful signing as was Musgrove i certainly agree with you there

@jadtiger
Who Is he playing for Nofaluma?, i dont know what games you are watching but for his size, to be repeatedly going backwards in every tackle simply lifted and losing 10 metres in own twenty, maybe im watching another years game but i too often see Nofa get dominated in too many tackles, where all other centres in comp go the other way

@balmain-boy Agreed what could we lose give them a chance im sure we would still be on same competition points or even higher might have even unearthed some new young gun before we sell all our young guns again (papanhuezen) no idea how to spell his name
