@happy_tiger I was thinking the same thing last weekend. Sometimes Nofo winds up and belts into the line, to good effect, other times he hops and skips about and gets driven backwards.
Against Parra he was probably more effective. Against Souths he was less effective.
Madge needs to teach these guys BACK FENCE. Start your run-up from the back fence.
Even Jennings can be effective if he takes a big run-up and doesn't do this stupid shuffling so many of our players do. Nofo sometimes gets belted because sometimes he decides to skip and jump before the line. These boys obviously don't know their physics, they lose all momentum and power by stopping and jinking just before the line.
NOW if they were Corey Thompson with a turning circle of a silky terrier then fine, but they aren't, they are large lumbering fellows with the agility of boulders. Think like a boulder, run like a boulder.
Even Huth, in the last 3-4 weeks he's really straightened up his running and it's working out well: his average running metres Rounds 3-13 was 86.22; the past 4 weeks it is 107.75, including his Top 2 matches for running metres against Souths and Roosters.
Marsters is the prime offender. He just needs to tuck it and run.
