Who Is he playing for Nofaluma?, i dont know what games you are watching but for his size, to be repeatedly going backwards in every tackle simply lifted and losing 10 metres in own twenty, maybe im watching another years game but i too often see Nofa get dominated in too many tackles, where all other centres in comp go the other way

For a bloke who you say goes backwards repeatedly in tackles he seems to make an awful lot of metres in a game.

David Nofoaluma v Parra 2 TRIES 2 Line breaks 9 tackle breaks 3 offloads 147 run metres...must of had 366 backwards...

Nofoaluma can be entire length of the spectrum at times with his hit ups , can't remember if it was the Cows game or Souths but he either got owned or was a wrecking ball ....and you can see the hit ups where he will get owned coming from the second he touches the ball ...just a completely different mindset

Back on subject though , I think Robert will be gone the minute the board and recruitment realizes they got it wrong and don't have Michael .....

2 Line breaks is misleading. HE was legitimately put away. If he had wheels we score that try where he had to kick instead.

Haha Michael is 100 years old but somehow is still much faster and by far a better player than either of his brothers. The genes weren’t spread very fairly in that family.

I don't blame recruitment anymore for mistakes they have made ....so easy getting names mixed up

Getting Terry and Clint Hill mixed up with Scott Hill easy mistake to make

We signed John Morris , we thought we had signed Josh and Brett so damn close

They heard about this young superstar from Bribie island and thought they had him on a life deal ...even had the first initial right but Matt and Michael Gillett is poles apart form wise

Warren Carney ....Willie Carne missed by that much

Jason Moodie was inexcusable Tom plays cricket and the surname is different

And we thought we had replaced Sheens ....again Shane and Stuart starts with same first letter perfectly explainable error

Corey Payne ..Corey Hughes easiest mistake in the world

Beau Ryan .....Ryan Girdler champion centre and goalkicker ....

Getting brothers mixed .....Nathan and Jason Cayless

And the whole JT thing ..we thought we had got Taumalolo at rock bottom prices and then released the wrong JT on the way out

Nathan Brown .....we thought we finally had Sheens gone after the Flanagan debacle .......can't point your finger at the club for that

Moses Mbye .....Mitchell Moses Moses Suli 2 MM , all had a Moses in it ......searching the Bible for solutions

I blame for Addo Carr leaving why call him Jack club finally thought they were listening to the fans .....kept Buchanan not Addo Carr

Lolohea ......misheard a comment made ...thought he was a pure metre eater .....not just an eater

Again Drinkwater ....Quadja seemed such a nice bloke ...we might get Scott eventually ...at age 38 ....but we will get our man

Packer / Parker Potato Partota Corey again solves goalkicking problems

At least only one was a real Gamble .....

Yeah probably right .....but some signings when you look at them would have made so much sense if we had signed their name sakes

@happy_tiger I was thinking the same thing last weekend. Sometimes Nofo winds up and belts into the line, to good effect, other times he hops and skips about and gets driven backwards.

Against Parra he was probably more effective. Against Souths he was less effective.

Madge needs to teach these guys BACK FENCE. Start your run-up from the back fence.

Even Jennings can be effective if he takes a big run-up and doesn't do this stupid shuffling so many of our players do. Nofo sometimes gets belted because sometimes he decides to skip and jump before the line. These boys obviously don't know their physics, they lose all momentum and power by stopping and jinking just before the line.

NOW if they were Corey Thompson with a turning circle of a silky terrier then fine, but they aren't, they are large lumbering fellows with the agility of boulders. Think like a boulder, run like a boulder.

Even Huth, in the last 3-4 weeks he's really straightened up his running and it's working out well: his average running metres Rounds 3-13 was 86.22; the past 4 weeks it is 107.75, including his Top 2 matches for running metres against Souths and Roosters.

Marsters is the prime offender. He just needs to tuck it and run.

First thing I taught my young fella , hit the hole / gap and run hard .....you don't get hurt

Now he thinks he is Gavin Miller and wants to ball play before the line lol

Do not forget who brought us this ultimate Plodder ... does not give any confidence on future signings.

Is a bit of my concern too. The only other signing was Musgrove and that wasn't exactly asute either.

I disagree on that. Marsters has always been a jinker and stepper and he often beats the first defender. I totally agree that he could do well to introduce some straight-line running and I'm not clear why that's not a component of his game yet - hole running as well as jinking as a centre.

The prime offender for mine is Nofo. The bloke is a keg but he lacks explosive power from a stationary position, and he has little to no footwork at all. If he would just run straight and hard he'd be effective most hitups, but instead he ducks and weaves about half the time. Unlike Marsters, because he isn't naturally evasive, Nofo frequently gets driven by the defenders with good shoulder shots, then they gang up on him.

They can all take lessons from Aloiai - not the biggest or fastest forward, but he runs with purpose and knows how to aim at holes in the defensive line.

Nofo looks for contact! He literally runs until he finds a body to turn into, hoping to beat the initial contact, spin and then heavy-step his way forward. I don't know what Nofo would actually do given an open corridor that required him to run in a straight line.

We need more Boulders

Nathan Brown the archetype boulder? Not kamikaze like Martin Lang, just runs straight up/down with good momentum.
