Roberts will be far more comfortable in the centres, I hope he gets some early ball, he actually goes looking for some quality ball, because he hasn't received any yet

Been waiting all year.... It's a chance with Douehi out

Absolutely wasted in our team. We have no idea how to utilise a player with speed because it’s been so long since we’ve actually had one!

I honestly think that JTJ will do well this week with Mbye back in the 5/8 spot hopefully,Brooks has stepped up enormously with him as a partner and Moses is a recognised ball distributor ...he will get the ball out to Jimmy and the rest is up to him ...I hope his defense holds up,but his speed in space is unquestionable,be good if Jet and Ken kill it this week....and the team as a whole perform well...

If it works out as you state, the the Talau experiment is over for now?

I think TT is still young with heaps of talent, but has made errors as well as glimpses of brilliance..I think he will be better in the NRL next year but needs time in KOE cup to learn more..Let me ask you,if JTJ plays well and makes breaks and backs up players in space with the line open would you prefer him in centres or TT ....

I just don’t think you should be learning your skills in the NRL, that’s what reserve grade is for.

James Roberts’ future is far from settled. The 28-year-old joined the Wests Tigers this season on a two-year deal, but the second season is in the club’s favour.

A shoulder injury has hampered Roberts this year, he’s played nine of a possible 14 games for the Tigers. But he is hopeful he has done enough to “finish off” his career at Concord.

“I love the club, it’s been really good,” Roberts told reporters on Wednesday.

“There’s a really good group of lads here and I’m close to a lot of them.

“I’m enjoying my time here and not really thinking about the future at all. I’ve been showing up to training and having fun, enjoying myself, so whatever happens, happens.

“I’d love to stay and finish off here, to be honest. But anything can happen in this game.”

Roberts is yet to hear from the club on whether they will activate the option to keep him for the 2022 season.

At the $150k we are paying him, it is a no brainer to keep him on, I still say if he is played at right centre and given good ball, he will be a huge asset, as yet for whatever reason this hasn't happened

Spot on, quality player and on cheap salary
No Brainer not retaining him
Rep Level Player and still not past his expiry

Article comes out and then the next one comes out, lol... isn't even sure he'll be at the club next year ?

Rough.
We need 2 FG ready centres for 2022 and AD back to 6.

This Article should also be Titled

**"Wests Tigers Fans eager for Roberts to challenge"**

Only a few years back he was a NSW Origin starter

Centers - JtJ, TommyT, AD, Oliver G (UK) and then BJ
5/8 - AD, Mbye, Hastings

- BJ Leilua: “Best centre in the world? You’re looking at him.” (not even playing centre in reserve grade)
- Roberts & Nofa are living together and will form a great combination (both of them looked clueless playing together)
- Tamou: “Douiehi needs to control the team” (moved from 5/8 the same week)
- Luciano: We can match the top teams (smashed 40-12 by Parra)

The list of pump-up articles which backfire grows every week. I don't have great hope for this one to not join the list.

If you're going to do that, is it selective choosing that you dont include all the Luke Brooks expectation quotes from early season? I will admit the last few games he has come out of his shell but still to be decided,

You're right. I forgot about those ones cause he's been playing well. There was all this talk about him taking charge in the pre-season, then he went missing in the first few rounds.

I'm in the Brooks fan club, and i think his worst game in the last few years , was better then most in the side.
No 1/2 alive would have looked good in this side in the last few years. Amazing that with a better forward pack how much easier it is to look good as a half.
We have gone from a bad pack to a fair pack this year, and if we eventually get a decent backline, i think even the Brooks baggers will have to admit defeat.

I’d like to think Ogden could make it next year if not th year after

Real talent and probably the standout of our talented juniors. I hope we lock him up

Lets not forget that JTJ had major mental issues, since coming to us he has applied himself to the indigenous group,he has done everything that Madge has asked of him,he speaks highly of our club and he is an origin player that has NOT been given ball and space...lets not condemn a man for at least turning up everyday, helping young guys understand NRL and putting the club first and foremost..
JTJ is a very talented man,his credentials are second to none...
''Let he was not sinned cast the first stone''
give him next year ....it would only be fair to a bloke who has made an effort to turn his life around...

Well said. He is no doubt having a go, win or lose. Same can't be said for quite a few others in our club.

Yep, he is good value at that price.
Think it was the fool Rothfield on 360 who said something like "WT might well want to keep him but not on the kind of dollars he is on now". Alcohol-embalmed gibberer.

James Roberts is having one of the worst games I've ever seen an NRL player have. Doesn't know where to stand in defence. Melbourne are running a train through him.

He isn’t having a great game but he has no support anywhere near him. Lucy was shocking, Nofa terrible gets beaten with 30cms and the sideline and Mbye is shirt grabbing. The while right side is shot. Roberts isn’t the reason we are down 36.

Has Ken changed sides in defence to help nofo and jets side cos they're so bad ?

Then garner has to carry talau cos he is incapable of anything ?
