Sydney Roosters have been hit with two breach notices, totalling fines worth $40,000 for two incidents following the controversial Anzac Day NRL loss to St George Illawarra.

The NRL issued a statement on Tuesday evening advising the Roosters had been hit with the disciplinary action.

In the first incident at Allianz Stadium Roosters coach Trent Robinson allegedly harassed referee Ben Cummins in the tunnel post game, the second breach notice is in regard to Robinson's scathing post-match press conference comments about Cummins.

Ive seen people here calling for JT to give it to refs recently…..but clubs have been getting fined for years, nothing changes...its pointless, especially when we are talking about a team as inept as ours
