Roosters salary cap revelation

Tacky

Soooo, I realised how the Roosters are within the salary cap.

They have at least 10 players in their top 30 who haven't made their debuts yet. I assume they are all on min wage contracts. They have no depth at all. If they get any injuries this year they're screwed.

Part of their top 30 includes:
Bernard Lewis(0 games), Brandan Frei(0 games), Lachlan Lam(0 games), Mitchell Cornish(19 games), Paul Momirovski(0 games), Sean O’Sullivan(0 games), Brock Gray(0 games), Chris Smith(3 games), Eloni Vunakece(9 games), Grant Garvey(?), Joshua Curran(0 games), Nat Butcher(3 games), Poasa Faamausili(0 games), Reuben Porter(0 games), Sitili Tupouniua(0 games), Victor Radley(3 games).

Rumours going around today that SBW will be signed leading into the finals. SBW apparently told he isn’t in the All Blacks plans for 2019 World Cup.

Yes they have over 10mill cap space, so well are their books handled.

Tedesco, Cronk, Crichton, Cordner, Friend, Keary = $4.8m.

JWH, Mitchell, Tupou, Aubusson, Ferguson, Taukeiaho, Napa = $2.15m.

13 players = $6.95m.

15 rookies = $1.7m.

28 players = $8.65m.

2 spots left and $750k.

I would take Taukeiaho and Mitchell for 1.15 million
That leaves
JWH,Tupou, Aubusson, Ferguson, and Napa for $1 million
That's a great deal for them

I can't see how you can be satisfied winning the comp when you have to try and buy it by getting the best players
If you are not a Roosters supporter you want them to fail
The Roosters Failing this year is almost as good as us tigers winning the comp
Either way I will be happy

I remember the Roosters applying dirty tactics and taking Craig Wing out when he joined South Sydney
He was held up by two players then driven in the back by a third
Craig mist about 8 games from that tackle if I remember right
I think it's about time they copped some of their own medicine
I would like to see some very heavy but legal tackles of course against some of their key players each and every week

Why do we care..I wish a pox on them and their supprters..

Cause our fans want to be like them… winners!

I believe that the mighty Wests Tigers have won the same number of competitions as the Rorters in the past 12 years spending a fraction of the price. .

Who are the winners the latte sipping flogs you say…

NRL have said they won't honour a contract with a player coming for an 8 week guest stint according to the 360 nuffies
