Rothfield tips wooden spoon for Wests Tigers

The stats are horrible reading, gave away the most penalties, only 2 back to back wins, 4 home wins from 12, losing our strike forward plus our leading point scorer, captain told to play reserve grade, coach under the pump, no prominent signings.
Hell Rothfield has every right to pick us to come last, from an outsiders perspective we are favourites for the spoon, we missed the spoon on F/A for a 15th spot finish, and on the surface our team looks worse for 2016.

Those stats don't make good reading. I know we will have some good wins next year which will get our hopes up but i'm with you. Our side isn't better and with all the turmoil that we tend to create i can see next year being our first wooden spoon. Geez I hope i'm wrong.

Another load of crap from Rothfield. Ignore.

We DO have a better side next comp. Much more depth and tons of speed. Barring injuries we should have a good year.

Remember when journalists wrote articles based on people with knowledge of the game?

The last 4 years they simply tend to make up there own stories and self promote there statue within the game.

Has Rothfield ever stuck his head in a scrum?

Judging by his head, he looks like he knows the bottom of a scrum.

I think we will be a bit if a surprise packet next year. Perhaps not the eight but we will win more than expected.

Most of our "kids" will be approaching or will have passed the 50 game mark which makes them experienced first graders. If they are coached the right way and have the right structures, their game maturity will only increase and that will in turn increase our win ratio.

For the record - If Mr Rothfield's prediction does come into fruition then I would strongly suspect a change in the coaching direction will also take place.

I love it when people get worked up about journos daring to put us down the bottom.

NEWSFLASH, our last 4 seasons, 13th, 15th, 13th, 15th. And we had stronger squads in some of those year

Were bottom feeders and until we prove otherwsie thats exactly where we deserve to be predicted.

Anyone in the NRL world bar Weststigers supporters would agree with Slothchild 100%. The bookies will have us a clear fav for the spoon and so will the media and if I was a betting man so would I, but in the NRL world very seldom do December predictions every come to fruition. I am hoping the Sloth is way off the money, but all the form points to the fact he is right.

If you look at our playing roster based on 2014 form you are a 100% right SC

Best case we are a Bottom 4 side

Lets hope these young men are on a steep curve to success and are heading in the right direction

Newsflash guys, we will be down near the bottom, just hopefully not collecting the spoon.

If we are going to be down near the bottom then not collecting the wooden spoon will at least be something the team will have to work for throughout the 2016 season.

Given our financial constraints, our recruiting hasn't been too bad at all. Can't see us finishing behind teams like the Titans and Knights so can't see the spoon heading our way either. I think we'll surprise a lot of people next year.

We won't finish last, JT has a plan and once the other teams get bogged down by all the gluten they're consuming we'll be ready to pounce.

For me not improving on this year? Will be a failure and certain actions would need to be taken.

:unamused:

I doubt youre on your own with that opinion.

To many negative vibes on this site … All teams start with zero points , a few surprises from the team next year one thinks... Time for some POSITIVE VIBES directed at Concord oval ,sport is a very unpredictable beast a good few wins next season I have seen in my tea leaves
