Round 1 Team after seeing the trial

So many combos above

Either way its going to be a long year.

Its clear we have a way to go b4 we are a semi final team.

You had me until no 17\. Rochow has been poor in both trials and is rightfully nowhere near first grade right now. Add Chee kam instead and you’ve got a winner!

Rochow was one of the best for ISP on the weekend. Looked stronger than McQueen. Probably won't be a chance of starting the year, but I've got no problems with him being considered after his performance on the weekend.

I wouldn't pick him, BUT he was getting raves for leading the defensive line in the first few weeks last year.

Yeah he was very solid during the opening months of 2018\. He admitted in an interview a week or 2 ago he wasn't fit enough last year to keep the form going. He did say he feels much fitter this year. So we will see.

As Geo would say, “let Madge decide the team Next!”

Ah nope..I always pick a line up and encourage others to do the same…interesting to see others thoughts...

Or you could just take pot shots at others selections with out offering any of your own..like happens most weeks..

Read all the above suggested teams, and all have merit, however, I can't wait to see the coaches pick.

Surely the fact he wasn't even named in the NRL trial shows he's not even in the pecking order.
And no, imo he was average-poor in both games. Few and ineffective hitups. Falling off tackles and unable to wrap up the ball - he's sure as hell not alone with that though.

1 Mbye
2 Thompson
3 Jennings
4 Marsters
5 Nofoaluma
6 Benji
7 Brooks
8 Packer
9 Farah
10 Twal
11 Matterson
12 Garner
13 ET

14 Matulino (I think Bens skillset is more effective when the middle is tiring)
15 Mikalele
16 MCK
17 Liddle take 9 when he/if can play 80 and add *Musgrove

Get Reynolds a game or 2 in ISP then relook at 6
Momirovski left out because he is coming off an injury so a week or 2 in ISP.

Seems harder to name a team than it was in 2018 which is a good thing I think..

1\. Mbye
2\. Thompson
3\. Momorovski/Jennings
4\. Marsters
5\. Nofoaluma
6\. Marshall
7\. Brooks
8\. Matulino
9\. Farah
10\. Packer
11\. Matterson
12\. Garner
13\. Taylor

14\. Reynolds
15\. Twal
16\. Mikaele
17\. Chee-Kam

See Jennings as being much more of a winger than a centre. But I have Thompson and Nofa ahead of him on the wings at this stage. He could force out Momo on experience in the early rounds.

At this stage my first round team would be:-

1\. Moses Mbye
2\. Robert Jennings
3\. Paul Momirovski
4\. Esan Marsters
5\. Corey Thompson
6\. Josh Reynolds
7\. Luke Brooks
8\. Russell Packer
9\. Jacob Liddle
10\. Ben Matulino
11\. Ryan Matterson
12\. Luke Garner
13\. Elijah Taylor
14\. Alex Twal
15\. Thomas Mikaele
16\. Matt Eisenhuth
17\. Robert Rochow

Rochow played pretty well in the trial and was the only player that had line speed at the start of last season - plus he has recovered from injury. Backline looks better with Liddle and Reynolds is the future, not Benji I am afraid.

I'd have Fonua instead of Thompson. Not sure on Rochow but Ive just started watching the 'pies game now so Im interested in his game.
Agree with everyone else. No Farah or Marshall for me when everyone is fit.

Correct, during the trial they said it was minor and he would be fine for round 1\. Not sure if that's changed?

1\. Mbye
2\. Jennings
3\. Mahe
4\. Masters
5\. Momo
6\. Benji
7\. Brooks
8\. packer
9\. Farah
10\. Mats
11\. Materson
12\. Chee kam
13\. Taylor

14\. Grub
15\. Twal
16\. mikale
17\. Huth
