I don't know anything about Laurie but can he play wing? Would be good to give him first grade experience there, have speed on the flanks. Roberts/Noffa on the right and Leilua/Laurie on the Left could give us strike and speed out wide on both flanks.

In light of the Musgrove and Blore news, it looks like our first month is going to be a bigger task than it already was. Plus not having Doueihi, is going to be a real conundrum in terms of building cohesion for the likes of Roosters, Knights and Eels.
I know it's only for the first week and while I liked some signs Laurie showed at 5/8, I'm worried about the types of players he'd be defending against in that game. I'd be more inclined to go with Mbye, though he's never played there for us.
Hopefully next week will show us if we have a team good enough - to compete against some quality teams - for the opening rounds. If I'm completely honest there's some grave concern about our team's defence, mental toughness and overall strength in this period.

Simpkins was very impressive and I also liked Tuilagi and Cooper. Some good signs from the young forwards.
