One hour before kick off Sheens will change the line up, Fulton will move to the bench and either Payten or Moors will start.

The signings of Brown & Daniela is a kick in the guts to those that have the talent and ability and have been busting their arses at Balmain and Wests respectively. Both these players have been given a chance by Commander Sheens and have failed to impress, showing that they are state cup level at best. This has restricted the progress of other more derserving players. Players like Pritchard, Davis and Taumata must be thinking how the hell these two players got a run ahead of them.

I agree. Brown & Daniela are not going to win us the comp. I know they will try their guts out because they are here to impress but they **both lack alot of ability**. Both secured good contracts when they were probably looking at getting canned at their respective clubs so they must have thought they won the Lottery when WT called. That contract money should have gone to others (and you know who im talking about) .

Can anyone here realistically say that either Brown or Daniella are in the same ballpark skill-wise as Taumata ??? Really I mean lets get fair dinkum here!!

Brown is strong I guess, Daniella can look sharp at times, but thats it. I know they are not in the same ballpark as Davis and Pritchard because I have seen the latter pair tear shreds off Brown and Daniella at State Cup level.

Maybe Fonz wants Taumata to know that he has not got a walk-up-start at WT and he has to show he has the right focus and attitude etc. Who knows how the Fonz thinks.

I think the Fonz will also be telling Bagz to get into 1st receiver whenever he wants. Thats the Fonzs' dream. Bagz at 1st receiver and Moltz at fullback.

That team would go well. Lui can take Fulton's spot. I like Fulton but Lui I assume is a better attacking player and he can be given some time to see if he can handle first grade reguarly.

Marshall & Moltzen can carve any team up. The outside backs are big and fast especially when Tuiaki returns.

Those forwards will go well against most packs in the comp and the 3 reserves are all big boppers.

Interesting you have Brown over Ryan Smeg. Do you see something in Brown that others on here have not - or do you just not rate Ryan at all? I have not seen any of the trials so can't give an opinion.
 
dont see how you could possibly pick meaney, whats he ever done ? played very poorly in last years state cup final.
 
He did play poorly in last years grand final no doubt.

However he is a far superior player than he showed that day. He is a great support fullback through the ruck, is a fine defensive organiser and is a goal kicker to boot. He also played very well in the first trial match of the year in Mackay by all reports.

Hbom in regards to Brown over Ryan I think they are both solid, if unspectacular, I went with Brown as I think he is a better ball runner but by the same token won't be overly upset if Ryan is selected

That would be my 17 as well.
I would play Lote on the wing for the first 6-8 weeks of the comp & then swap him to fullback & when Tuiaki returns we will have by far the best backline in the comp
