Mason lacks the skills for a fullback but think he could be a great impact 13 or a centre

Yet they're only a fringe eight teamThey have an International fullback, two international centres, two top yardage wingers and they beat us by 2. I'm not too upset.
Makes you wonder what the hyped up army camp was all about.I find this a very weird take.
We missed almost 60 tackles. We went one out on almost every single time we had the ball. We were pinned in our half due to our terrible kicking game. When Cogger blows our halves out of the park you know you've got a problem. The Knights started almost every set on their 30. That's embarrassing.
We didn't receive a single outcome from any of our kicks. We didn't even contest 99% of our kicks.
Our players were exhausted after 55 mins, which shows that the preseason didn't do it's job.
Ponga, Schiller and Sharpe tore us to shreds. We don't have a single centre or back rower who can break the line. No one with pace and only one winger with power.
Our goal line defence was solid. But if the Knights played remotely well they win by 30, if they played well they'd have won 40+. They were shocking, we got ALL the questionable calls and still lost. That's how much worse we were.
If we were trying things and the combos and execution just wasn't quite there yet, that'd be ok. But we tried nothing, and that is unacceptable.
For me the biggest issue is the fitness. Defence Congress form to attitude and fitness, and then technique. Our defence fell to pieces once our boys couldn't compete any longer and started farting off tackles . Given our struggles with fitness in the last few years fitness needed to be our top priority this off season, but seemingly it wasn't. If we can't play 80 mins then we will probably get another spoon
So many players in motion in attack. Do we not do any of this in the offseason?Alf stole the game from and only just found out we lost. Phone data is patchy and takes forever to load a page. Were we awful????
Every game tackles are missed. It's how and where they were missed + the outcome. We missed 50 tackles. I think it makes perfect sense to raise it. The negative stats are why we lost that game in my opinion.
I do agree though that he was a weapon but he can’t miss every tackle he attempts
agree good option and Maybe Seyfarth lock?I'd rather try Sukkar I can't watch Seyfarth he is painful
I think the missed tackles are bad too. But we scrambled much better. Too many teenagers out there for me. Maybe a lot less with API abd Bula back. Certainly need an upgrade on Seyfarth and for Pole and Sam F to stand up in defenceWe missed 50 tackles. I think it makes perfect sense to raise it. I watched it an hour or so ago. I missed it last night but found out the score this afternoon. 8-10….sounded like a tough arm wrestle.Watch it again. I thought so too but on review, first game of the season, they weren't that bad. Defensively, they never gave up. Offensively, terrible. The effort is there and that's what's most important.
Galvin, however, isn't a 5/8.
Mate they bombed lots of opportunities. Best was a beast with the ball, but a complete dumbarse when in a scoring play. Ponga barely played in the first 40…I almost forgot he was out there. Add all this to their huge error rate and 7 penalties…it wasn’t just our goal line defence that kept their score to 10.Every game tackles are missed. It's how and where they were missed + the outcome.
To look at the stat and come to a definitive conclusion oversimplifies things. A bit like saying there's a wage gap between men and women without looking into why.
I mean...we only let in 10 points. By that stat our defence was really strong. What say you?
Possibly could have had something to fo with the fire brigade having two engines parked at the roundabout to get the people out of the stuck lift?Come on man. 45 minutes. I've parked in lots of car parks at events and that was up there with the worst. Admittedly I don't get to Campbelltown often these days .I expected a slight delay but I didn't move at all for 40 minutes. Even turned the car off.
Agree good summaryGood summary
The original point was about Skelton missing 3 tackles as a negative to the rest of his stats.Mate they bombed lots of opportunities. only took them 45 mins to unstuck you .lol . SQ on the spotPossibly could have had something to fo with the fire brigade having two engines parked at the roundabout to get the people out of the stuck lift?
I just watched the highlights of Manly and I think every try they scored was on their right hand side (passing left to right)Unfortunately T.T
Both our halves have a big preference to play right to Left
Which will make it very unfortunate for whoever is selected to be our right side centre/wing as I’m guessing there job will be chasing kicks and making tackles all day.
OR Wait
Train our halves to get a bit of confidence with passing left to right.
40 minutes just to rub a bit of salt into the woundCome on man. 45 minutes. I've parked in lots of car parks at events and that was up there with the worst. Ah okay that makes sense. Thanks.Possibly could have had something to fo with the fire brigade having two engines parked at the roundabout to get the people out of the stuck lift?
