Massive test for the club today. We have been getting lots of positive press after our last two wins, but to be honest, both those results could have easy gone the other way and than the knives would be out now.

So important we are competitive and don’t roll over and allow a blow out. I don’t think the Storm are at the same level they have been at in years gone by. Munster is down a little on his usual form, but Hughes and Pap are playing well. There broken field running is our biggest worry. Also I see our centres getting a work over.

I guess one positive is, in years gone by we would say…by how much will we get beaten by, this year we think a win is not impossible

Interesing on Bird if true. We've been rolled through the middle a bit each side of half time when he is usually on - potentially looking for more size against Melbourne?

We've also usually only been doing two interchanges in the first half recently when no injuries strike, Twal and Pole off for Hunt and either Bird or Fainu. Wonder if we front load against Melbourne and use extra interchanges to try and keep us in the game as long as possible? Not sure who though - if we take Api off before half time for Da Silva it doesn't really help our middles and would be suprised if May comes off before half time.

Must say, think we'll be in trouble if big Nelson comes on to the bench...
I’m looking forward to May v Stef, not only for today but SOO implications.

On the other hand....Knights and Warriors results couldve easily gone the other way and then we'd be in 3rd or 4th spot

Every coach would target the Naden/Staines side.
Would have thought that Naden or Bird would be on the right side with Turuva and Staines would be on the left side with Doueihi.

Not sure what would be worse on the right, Naden or Bird the way he has been playing lately.

If Naden starts and goes down during the game I will be really pissed off because I'm sick of players carrying injuries going down and causing major disruptions to the team.

Would think most coaches would consider targeting both sides to test them out early to see what might pay dividends, but testing out a possibly injured Naden or an undisciplined out of form Bird does make a lot of sense.

Very much a club man, bleeds black, white & gold.

I was very critical of Douehi pre season, he still has the odd defensive lapse & error in him but he has truely proved to be worthy of being on the run on side.
Not only for his goal kicking, he's playing consistently good footy.
Big surprise for me this year too, hope he keeps improving

While Stef will be huffing and puffing on the sidelines after making 5 runs for 40 meters in 25 mins, May will be making his 10th hit up
Yeah but more than that, Daley will be looking for some fire from both of them. SOO props need some mongrel and both May and Stef not renowned for that. I’m expecting a real clash between props today.

Think your right Hal, especially regarding Stef we haven't forgotten his debut SOO effort, 10 mins on then hooked, you need the heart of a mallee bull not a pea.

I think a big motor is crucial in origin. If injury strikes in the forwards and you had to shuffle the decks that require your props to play longer minutes who wins out of Stef and May?

Stef imo is only bench quality origin level at best for 20 minute stints. We have Leinu for that who would actually cause havoc

Yeah this is why I see may as the perfect replacement for Jake trbojevic

He's just as good in defence if not better and has better attack

Really hoping Benji throws more at the Storm early. Bring Hunt in to start, May to lock, Twal to the bench. Tell Hunt to go as hard as he can and once he hits the wall, Twal comes on. Then Sione comes on when Pole hits the wall. I really think this rotation is the way to go today
Even as well as he is going at prop, I would love May to move to lock. I reckon he'd be awesome there.

Im not much of punter, but given Naden is playing centre in defence I couldn't help but place a few bets on Nick Meany to score:
2 tries @ 12:1
3 tries @ 81:1
4 or more @ 250:1

So for 10 bucks a pop, even if he gets two tries you still come out ahead.

I know he isn't a prolific try scorer by any means, but if there's ever a team to let a bloke like this score, it's the tigers...

Ofcourse, I hope we win 50-0... But for $30 I figured there could be an upside if it's the reverse score and luck is on my side 😅😅

Sukkar in to the 17 instead of Bird ?
Doesn't Sukkar play each week in a NSW cup team that concede 40-60 points each week ! So what is his claim to play NRL vs Storm ?
