A few positives for us. 1 Alamolo showed he should be our winger for rest of year.
2 - Sam Fainu has locked up an edge spot - we need to attack more down that side. This means Papali can play lock when he returns which he showed great signs against Knights.
3 - Sione Fainu showed promise. He showed more creativity in 1 game than Twal has all year. A few offloads and if we can teach Bula to get off him that’s a good thing. He and Pole provide real impact off the bench. Should persist.
Yep I agree.
Here are my key negatives & postives from both NRL & NSW Cup ...
Negatives
1 - Brent Naden, say no more.
2 - Our other low lQ players namely AJ Kepaoa.
3 - Last tackle options, looking at Api, Bud & lesser extent Lachie. As part of this our general kicking game is woeful. Also blind freddy can see we have an option to do cross field kicks to Alaimalo.
4 - Use of Api. We'd get better value from both he & Jake if Api was subbed at about the 30 min mark & returns about 10 min into 2nd half.
5 - Attacking structure, particularly halves not digging into the line, few players in motion & lack of use of our back rowers particularly Sam Fainu is bordering on criminal.
Positives
1 - The impact that Olam can have when given ball.
2 - Samuela Fainu, though should be used more as an attacking threat.
3 - Stef, Klemmer, Pole.
4 - Despite the loss in Cup, I do think that Kit Laulilii, Josh Feledy, Jordan Miller & Alex Lobb have been progressing well the past few weeks.
5 - Lachlan Broederlow in NSW Cup, looks our most promising backrower coming up through the grades.
6 - The value of Declan Casey to our Cup team, would not be surprised at all if he replaces Naden this week.
