I think 8 losses in a row really makes you start to think. After years of failure, it was always going to be a hail Mary play to give Benji the coaching gig. IMO he seems very good considering his experience and looks like he may make a good coach. However can he turn this lot around? Maybe Richo needs to have a chat with him. We can't sack him, but i think it would be very admirable if he put his hand up and said I'm not ready yet, allowing us to bring Arthur in.

Right centre is hard. Maybe Staines. Feledy played well tonight but it's a risk moving him to the right. Don't think he has played there much at all.

I thought Staines looked as good as I have seen him when playing in the centres tonight

Mate read my other posts have put plenty of shite on both. I go to training a fair bit (more than I should) and the lack of drills and plays has me bewildered. We don’t ever seem to practice attacking kicking plays over and over again until we get it right. We need an older experienced coach ti help bunji, but he’s to egotistical to let that happen.
But when u have a struggling club like ours the crap reffing calls is not helping our cause. It’s just pathetic the NRL is trying to hard to be politically correct. Get the girls reffing the big games let’s see how they go then.

A few bright spots Ailamalo except first 10 mins ,Galvin ,Sullivan ,Api ,Twal ,Steph but we lost by 16 points to a team coming 14th in defence .Let's not get too excited
I'm happy we threw the ball around and played footy BUT we are not fit enough to match the Cows line speed and play 80 mins ?
Benji the least you can do is put together 17 super fit footballers .Api has to work himself to a standstill just to take up some of the slack
Ps Casey out of his depth ,Feledy maybe a bit of potential .

Feledy overweight, needs to get himself fit.

Sorry mate, see your point. Just took out my frustration on you,
Lucky I don’t go to training, as .I’d be removed from the sidelines.
I’m just amazed that they do train 4/5 days a week.

Stands out like dogs nuts when you have Galvin running from one side of the field to the other - not one player runs a hole, line, decoy - nothing….

This team has the intellect of park footballers - and it always has had.

Agreed, was thinking the same thing myself. Evan bud was doing the same looking for runners that’s one of our biggest weekness not supporting the ball runners.

Our issue is the cattle not the coach
 
I think people forget that there were no takers for this coaching job. Weve had elite coaches while rebuilding one jumped, and the other got sacked. Arthur has been at the one of the wealthiest and strongest clubs in the league that has had little trouble in attracting and retaining talent. I back Benji and can honestly say that was the weakest backline in the competition this season and looking at what he has to work with not convinced at this point that coaching is the real issue.

Not gonna lie I don’t know many teams that really go at attacking kicking plays relentlessly. How are you meant to really replicate oppositions? I’ve played league and in the backs and while we did the occasional kick and chase drills it was never really super important, not to mention quite dangerous to practice. It’s more of an effort than skill play, it’s either you have the effort to make the play or don’t. A lot of luck is placed in those kicks, not to mention the height of opposition. You can see in any kick contest it’s whoever has the most effort and luck, the Bula try was a clear example. Our backs also aren’t real aerial threats to be fair, unless we run out with Lobb and Alaimalo on the wings. But I agree it should be practised more IF it isn’t at all.

maybe not Benji's overall coaching, but definitely our attacking coaching is a big issue.
