LIVE GAME Round 13 v Bulldogs

Live Game Discussion
Calls have been going against us for the last decade. Galvin didnt score. Makasini was removed from the game as a result of foul play. Critta attacked Skeltons face. The Bulldogs had 7 set restarts to the tigers 0.

We had as many game changing decisions go against us as we had go for us tonight.
We won the penalty count as well.

Yes.

It's not a case of who got the better/worse calls IMO.

It's an argument about how the occasion got the better of all the officials.

Too many finicky rules & 50/50 rulings to be made for these guys. They are out of their depth when the speed & pressure ramps up.

Maybe some of the 6 agains they got were a bit harsh but mostly they were just dominant in the tackle and were running through us in attack. I didn't see anything particularly in terms of holding down or warranting a six again. We had very little control of the game after API went off.

Hate the Curran no try. I know that's a rule but that's so soft. Classic Klein nitpicking intervention and it saved us big time.

We desperately need to do something on the Sione edge. That's two weeks in a row where our edge has just been absolutely dominated. He is so sloppy in his tackling and with that erratic first contact on tackle 1 we're just getting run over.

Api and Bula are so valuable, such terrific players.

Turuva and Skelton were also excellent. Skelton came up with some massive runs.

Terrell at the end had some really important hit ups. He doesn't look as strong as he plays, had some great tackles at important times too.

Galvin slowed them down, if they had a proper halfback I don't think we get close to them.

Good win and a good night. Much needed.
Anyone else at the game get annoyed that we dont show the replay of the opposition trys at the ground? Happened at the Broncos game too from memory. It gets covered up by advertising for the next game. Would be good to see what happened.
Yep, all the Doggies supporters were pissed that none of their tries were replayed, although the disallowed ones were. One good thing at the game tonight was the music. They finally gave the "best of 1982" cassette a week off.

It is very annoying. Pay your money to go to the match and don’t get to see replays

Well wasn't that a nail biter, was feeling the pressure and fearing the worst but the boys held it together.

Some outstanding efforts in defence saved the win for us.

Some good choices Benji made from the bench I thought, with the injuries and head knock, at one point we were in quicksand and on came big Royce at the perfect time.

I know he doesn't play big minutes but he provides good impact, I want him around next season.

Now the Dogs are pretty much dusted for the season and Maka will be out for a few weeks with an AC we should be targeting Xerri. Maka and May are busted. Long term we need a right centre anyway.

Nexf week will be a beat down penrith are resting players this week. They will put 50 on us. No Taylan May, Makasini, Twal, Sione Fainu, Douihei, Sam Fainu. Thats 6 of our 17 out.

Digging into the stats. We had to tackle for 10 more sets than them, completed at 89% and our kick defusal compared to theirs was night and day. Given Burtons dangerous kicking game and some of their classy edge players, that win looks a bit better than maybe it felt. 0-7 on set restarts too. Wests Tigers don’t win those in the past.

He was correct on that I reckon and Benji agreed.
It is a ridiculous rule that you can perform a charge down and then run into the still raised leg and be penalised.
Luai also had zero problem with it as he didn’t remonstrate at all and chased him all the way to the line.
Not surprised to see you sook about it though lol….very predictable.

You think its a ridiculous rule when in the past weve seen some shocking injuries from this action which is why it was brought in
Thankfully Luai wasnt hurt tonite...it doesnt always end in an injury.....
The only thing predictable is your hypocrisy in targetting people discussing refereeing and you calling people sooks when you did the same thing the other night...and then pathetically tried to absolve yourself

Youre a joke...

Didn’t we loose a game for Papalii charge down made contact with the leg, shot missed and they got a penalty right in front?

I don’t like it - but every other kicker in the game gets a piggy back off it, so I have no problem getting the rub for once.

Moses has almost made a career off it
Exactly. It’s the rule and it was ruled correctly. I’m suprised Luai wasn’t iniured severely. His leg distorted awkwardly from the contact.

Average play the ball speed almost identical so how can the set restarts be
7 - 0 in favour of the dogs .
Thank God the bunker picked up 2 No trys to the dogs which Gough awarded on the field
Yes believe it or not the bunker (Klein) was our friend tonight lol. We did get more penalties as well, including one right in front of the posts, which everyone seems to be forgetting.
