LIVE GAME Round 14 v Panthers

Live Game Discussion
So you don’t watch other teams play? Don’t see how ordinary a side like the Titans are? Besides the Storm game, we give ourselves a chance almost every week. Yet, you talk like the spoon is ours already. Strange take.
Not really a strange take. There is every probability we will take home the spoon again unless something changes for us big time.

Putting in effort and losing games is still losing games and no points. Sure the Titans are crap at the moment, so were Newcastle until they won on the weekend. Both of those teams have the cattle to improve and I don’t think any other team bar those two is a threat to us taking out the spoon.

So nothing needs to change for the Titans. You’d think the world revolves around us, win or lose.

We lost that game because Penrith has heart and will fight for every play, we've been heartless since this club was first established. We fluked a premiership along the way and didn't make the 8 the following year.

Wooden spoon incoming for sure. Only games I see us with a chance V Titans twice.
BS! plenty of other teams out there, how bout the dogs?

Hate to say it but Douehi looked lost, whilst have no idea why Kit didn’t get a run.
Luais best game since he joined us, different structure gave him a little more room. That’s more like.
Hate to say it but it’s a game of inches and we came up just short. Overall effort good.
Every shift his way either he or Bula stifled it. Bula seriously needs to start learning how to ball play if he wants to chime in in attack. He does my head in. He either creates the space and numbers on the outside and doesn't shift the ball and just gets tackled. Or he makes the numbers and space and shifts the ball way too early before engaging the line and the defence marks up and shuts it down. Or he passes when he has a chance to hit either shoulder of the guy marking him to give himself a chance of poking his nose through the line. It just seems his timing is off. Not sure. It happens every week I think about 4 or 5 times today out wide he took the wrong option or he took the right one but just way too early and it was nullified by the Defence. If someone on the forum might know why I'd live to hear thoughts on it, I just don't get it.

I really don't know how to feel about that game... but some thoughts:

1) Dunno how Tago was allowed back on
2) Luai 'late' tackle was a shocker of a call
3) Latu will wear the 7 in a few weeks, which will unlock Luai and thus our backs
4) I don't know why Luai feels the need to make those jinking off-the-cuff plays where he ends up shovelling the ball along, 9/10 it goes very very wrong.

Overall, decent performance given our injuries/depth issues.

I see a lot of potential for improvement off the back of this one, and when we get some troops back/sign new ones.

It starts at the top. Richo should come out and make a statement criticising the refereeing and showing support for his club.If he cops a fine so be it. Everyone in the club including the supporters would be totally stoked by this and shows that he cares that these constant refereeing performances will be called out.
Use the 165k money we got from Galvin, make it a world class spray and don't miss. The Galvin fee should just about cover it.

Great to see Benji finally call out the refs. We have lost many games based on bad ref calls that turned the momentum to our disadvantage and cost us two points. This was another where the tigers were the better team and were penalised in correctly which changed the game.

We never get calls in our favour that define games. It's not right that the tigers need to be 50-100% better than the opposition to win a game, where as many other teams can be 10-25% worse and still take home the two points. This is the one thing that's very consistent by the NRL and the media influence against the Tigers.
