TEAM LIST Round 14 vs. Dragons

Team List
Imagine growing up, wanting to be a professional Rugby League player, making rep teams, getting your first contract, only to eventually wind up at WT’s and getting absolutely caned every week on an internet forum. On top of that, getting shopped around by the club that have won two spoons in a row, cos not even they want you. What a career.

Moving on players mid season without getting something back in return when you are camped at the bottom is never a good look despite how it may open up some cap space.
Strong clubs have good depth - and we have poor depth and yet seem willing to strengthen clubs mid season who are in finals contention. It's crap for morale for the remaining players and I bet the rest of the squad wishes they were going with him.
I thought this would stop with Richardson but it continues and makes us easy targets for the media

Getting paid millions of dollars playing a game you love. Yeah the losing would be depressing but so is a regular 9-5 job.

Can‘r believe I’m saying this but I think Naden should start in the centre’s, Don’t want to see Sullivan and Staines defending on the same side.
And don’t want the other side changed (Galvin, Fainu, Olam)
Which look comfortable working together.
Leave Staines on the wing, especially since the Dragons play the power game they would be mad not to target Charlie if he is in the centre’s.
Believe me I am not a Naden fan but sometimes you just have to put up with things you were not pleased about.

Best gave Naden a bath like nothing I’ve ever seen in first grade. Possibly could be eclipsed a month later if Suli brings the bath bombs.

Nadan is trash, no two ways about it. But why the hell is everyone talking up Suli. Good for 5 games a year. That’s it.

Guessing one of those five is up against an out of form-smallish winger playing in an unfamiliar position - the most difficult position to defend.

Unless Lomax and Hunt back up, the Dragons have 4 of their 7 backs named that have played the majority of the season in NSW Cup, therefore players such as Staines should be able to trouble them providing he gets some decent ball with a bit of space to work with.
Aside from their 3 SOO representatives, the Dragons are a very average team themselves, a great opportunity for some of our fringe players to put their hands up for more regular NRL game time moving forward, a perfect opportunity for Staines to show if he is a capable centre moving forward and a perfect opportunity for Samuela Fainu to further stamp his authority as game changing second rower.

Team selection as expected apart from Rueben Porter - thought AJ would get that spot. Also I am a bit surprised that Naden got a bench spot but realistically I reckon Benji has very few options. Maybe it is also down to him being kept in the shop window by the club.

I can't imagine that - but I can imagine Manly fans going Ballistic over our so-called non-performers being welcomed into their rabble. ...Vossy calling "another forward pass from dummy half by Simpkin - oh what a wasted opportunity for Manly"

Interesting but concerning article today about Gavin playing with a broken hand, maybe that accounts for a few moderate performances, and his manager asking WT to stand him down so it can heal. First time I can publicly remember that happening.
It would appear that injuries ( and suspensions) have completely decimated our squad already, so maybe it’s in the boys long term interests to not pile so much pressure on him and just give him a break.
This season pretty much write off( again) so let’s do all this roster cleansing and recovery in one hit to clear the decks for 25.
