Team List
Our weakness is our left edge defence, Raiders will look to move Bula to their left, then swing it fast to their right on the next play.

Most fans have seen enough in 36 NRL appearances from Seyfarth to suggest that he will never be NRL standard. Moses Mbye lasted years in the NRL also being a complete fraud for example.

At the end of the day it's the coach who decides who gets picked and who doesn't and the reasons for that don't always align with the fans.

I was thinking api would be better coming of the bench , reason been say after 25 minutes the raiders forwards would be getting tired rather than throw him in at the start . But I am sure sheens and api will pull the right strings

Interesting to note that we have only a 6 day turnaround against the Titans after this one. So if Api does backup on Friday, that will be 3 games in 9 days. I think either way (Api or Da Silva), Simpkin goes really big minutes as a starter.

I have nightmares where that happens.
 
Weve now got a great team especially our 1-13 but I worry our geniuses off the field will find a way to stuff it up . Recruitment and Retention been ordinary for years and the weekly reshuffling the deck chairs thru the first 7 rounds didn't help either.
We can beat the Raiders at our best and anyone for that matter

On Ask the Boss, Lee said he wants to see 17,000 there but being realistic he'll be lucky to get anywhere near half that crowd.

If all you are getting is one game and the fact that you could stay in the warmth and comfort of your home and watch it on channel 9/Kayo/Foxtel on the TV, there isn't a great deal of incentive for people to travel to the ground especially if you have just worked all week.

Anyone going? I'll be there to cheer the boys on but I'm a fairly easy traveling distance from the ground.

I will definitely be there. I'm about 45 minutes from the ground, so not too far to go. Hopefully the team that played the cowboys shows up.

I hope so too, don't want to freeze my arse off out there and suffer a miserable loss when I could just as easily watch it at home and be warm and miserable.

Anyway, when it comes down to it, there's nothing like actually being at the game.

Yeah, suspected it would just be the NRL game.

Can't believe how difficult it can be sometimes to find game day information when you have a membership and don't need to go to places like Ticketek to buy the tickets.

Official website used to have "game day info" but when it's only nrl 8pm, gates open 6.45 and nothing else... I guess they feel it's not worth promoting

I understand the thinking but have to disagree.

While I respect what you're saying have a look at what Api brings to the early part of the game v Jake. If you are willing to give Canberra the opportunity of a soft start in Defence compared to having them guessing from the start we could be trying to play catch up.

Drinkwater said after our last game that he had no idea how to set his defence because Api had him confused. The Canberra fullback this week is a part timer - we need to have him troubled from the kick off.

If Canberra get into the grind they will be difficult to turn around. If the Raiders forwards are getting slow after 25 mins, as you predict, that is when we want young legs running the ball out of the ruck as opposed to using guile and cunning.

Hooker is a really difficult position to master and Simpkin hasn't got it yet (but is improving). Api is a starter for mine.

Just my 2 cents.

I agree, get off to a fast start, set the tone, then let the young fella have a go.
