The periods where we put pressure on them with our defence was when we got on top.

We went away from that at times and it showed in those periods.

Good game plan...just need to maintain it for 80.

On the negative side our pack
Missing 4 of the 6 original pack
Api, Ssmuela ,KPP ,Twal
The first 3 tries to Titans from breaks right up the middle
Their 4th try from a Bula error should have been a penalty to us a Titan player kicked the ball out of his hands ( that's definite ruck interference )
Thought Pole played well ( until his cold drop )
Thought Seyfarth was big on effort
Thought Lanyon / Latu at dummy half a little slow of the mark

What an epic afternoon that was and a great sendoff for the 8th. Just had to find a way to win for the fans and they did.
Luai all class from what I saw but will get a better read when I watch the replay.

A lot of positives out of that game:

#1 being attitude.
Our forwards looked more aggressive today than they have in a while making plenty of metres, add a great completion rate, a smart kicking game & some desperate defence & a fight back for a well deserved come from behind win.(despite some lousy ref calls going against the boys).

The negatives:
Our backs could have been more creative in attack in the 1st half especially having the wind behind them, they looked slow though & did get burnt for speed by the Titans outside backs & fullback. Our middle got exposed a few times leading to tries (Gee we really miss Twally) Terrell has a flaw that I've noticed of late. While he is going great defending well & grabbing decent metres his play the ball is sooooo slow.


Headscratchers:
I can't believe they didn't challenge the Bula "knock on" nor Tito's brain fart not touching the ball to put it out on the full....rookie error. Once again where were all the six again calls against the Titans who were routinely interfering in the ruck or offside in repeat tackles or holding down the tackled player & or leg grabbing yet

Many of us have been pushing that argument for ages but have to respect the other half of the JV because we’re developing the SW corridor.
Anyway, back to CSS next week so let’s see what happens then . Let me hear those immortal words , they’ll pack the place, sell out !!!!
One of the upsides of 2028 is that CSS will be closed for the year and we’ll play most of our home games at LO.
I do know that if we played at CSS today we’d have lost.
