LIVE GAME Round 16 v Dolphins

Live Game Discussion
We lost our 7 ages ago and still won games. Our injuries are compounded that’s the problem.
I’ll say it again it isn’t injuries it’s a losing culture “ letting try’s in before half time@
has been happening for 15 years no matter whos in the team stop
Using injuries as an excuse we got bear by 14 to a team
That were missing h 5 stars

And the Club coundnt give 2 shits. They know the dopey fans continue to turn up every week like the morons we are. We deserve nothing but disappointment.
Mate. Been going to Ctown for 30 plus years and I get a strong feeling that they couldn’t give a shit. Hey kids come on the field after the game. Yeah half an hour after the full time siren, tried to wait for the kids to go on but no communication just hanging round like a loser

Straight minutes, as per my post, not two periods with a half hour plus break in between like last week. Totally different.

Apart from that, why move arguably the form hooker of the competition and compromise two positions.

HT break?

We compromised more than 2 positions by wasting an interchange player

We were gone in the middle in the last 20

Can agree to disagree, I think it would have changed the game

How many games has mason played in the halves this year?

Playing a bloke who isnt up to it is far worse than shuffling deck chairs.

We had mason kicking ffs. Why not just move terrell may to 7 then?

Not to be a dick, but the result backs me up. Lanyon was great at 9 last week and we won.

Lanyon was okay last week, nothing more, nothing less, in a mostly solid debut, and Luai dragged us to that win. He nearly did so again this afternoon, but the team that we played today were better than last week's opposition.

I respect your opinion @boonboon you are generally good judge of player ability and how we are travelling as a team, but honestly tell me where our points are coming from with the current 2-5 and back row we are fielding ? The vast majority of our tries today were lucky and will not happen against decent opposition who are close to full strength themselves.

If we dont make mistakes today we win. Now I know all teams concede most of their tries after errors, but our mistakes are so shockingly bad and preventable. If we start to fix this huge problem, get Twal and Doueihi back, then I think we can grind away more in games and get home scoring 18 to 24 points. We must stop the soft errors though. Mistakes will happen, but simple dropped balls taking a hit up have to stop. We must play smarter. Turuva watching the player rather than the ball lead to their first try. Just dumb play.

Lanyon at 9 is better than mason at 7 everyday of the week and then even on days that dont exist 😂😂

The 2 realky bad mistakes were simple carries by those two mate. Those are the mistakes they have to get rid of. But both of them do em every week. Just hold the ball in contact.
They are both trying hard and I’m a big fan of Sione, so I was happy to see him score 2 tries today, but we all know he’s a touch slow particularly in defence to be a genuine NRL quality edge back rower and I think we can say the same for Sukkar who I think has a better chance of future success as a prop.We have absolutely zero NRL quality edge back rowers outside of our injured pair and I honestly cannot see us beating the Dragons unless we fix it by recruiting prior to June 30.
Then we have the problem of very minimal speed, tackle break ability, genuine x-factor and defensive ability within our 2-5.

Our luck this year has been downright deplorable. The one time we dont have Latu on the bench we lose Madden. I truly believe we win today if Latu was there. Don't get me wrong, I dont blame Benji for playing him in reserve grade, he needed game time and was poor last week. Just saying the luck is bending us over and drilling us every week.

I'm with with you, but we've been consistently saying the same thing after winning the premiership in 2005 and then coming 11th in 2006 and then picking up 3 spoons.

Tigers fans matter!
Yeah, it burns.

We've been flogged by injuries this year, just as we're looking good.
Maybe next year is our year?
I hope.

How the head butt on Madden was not a penalty
If you rush out of the line the onus is on you to avoid contact with the head
Also what is it with dislocated shoulders ?
Douehi ,KPP Taylan and Herbert
Also surely putting Makasini on at left center Why ? Dolphins targeted his area and scored twice
A lot of missed chances and I think the 36-22 flattered Dolphins

So we had 5 of our best out and they had 5 of their best out also. The difference is that what they ran out with and what they had on the bench has more class. I get it that some here are saying they were proud of the effort but we still got pumped and I didn't expect that fulltime scoreline. Anyway onto next week and looking forward to the return of AD and Twally..
I don't deny the class comment. We also lost 2 BACKS during the game. As i'm sure your aware, that hurts the forward rotation, resulting in fatigue which leads to errors

What are you talking about, it was a HIA when Mason came on. Herbert then going off is what stuffed our interchange rotation and Lanyon came on in his experienced position of lock because our middles were gone.
