The try saver on Luai was a hip drop AGAIN.

The foot out on the 40/20… the penalty against Bula for the non contesting run through.

Things don’t go our way. But we lose because we have a few reserve grade standard players that let us down in big moments. We lose because we don’t have the slick combinations because our team have been disrupted.

As frustrating as it was, the second half fight was extraordinary. The team looked happy. Latu is STRONG, zippy and has decent hands.

We are building. I truly believe that. We are three players away from a competitive team.

We actually got the penalty but Skelton decided on doing his thing.

We have no attack....its all ad lib...they make itnup as they go along...it gets you close but its not a winning formula

At times I feel like Luai’s jigging and stepping throws off the support play. No one knows what he is going to do and they stand flat. I like seeing him play freely like Benji did but I’m not sure they train for these plays. Moments of brilliance and moments of blah. Still we are always better with Luai in the squad.

I said a great job building the team culture.
He is clearly not on the same level overall as Cleary, Bennett, Bellamy but he has managed to get more wins than the last 3 spoon years, that’s a clear improvement and he has until 2026 imo

Unfortunately beating previous low points (3 wooden spoons ) in not an achievement, if we spoon again. Just shows other teams have also improved if we come last again.
