TEAM LIST Round 16 vs. Raiders

Team List
Canberra is our bogey team and also coming off a huge loss a home.
We never play well against the raiders and I have a feeling we will play them back into the winning circle.
While a good win last week, it was a poor defensive effort and basically Titans blew that game.
Thought Mason and Miller did well on debut though while the big guy was blowing it was great to see him hold his own and he will be better for the experience.

Cambo will be a full house , Tigers are due for a double up on upset of the round , I predicted last game we win and by 8 , my prediction this week , we win again, and by 8 again , take it how you like but we are going to come home on a wet sail of upsets , this week will be 2/2 We will then proceed to win a few more games yet , enjoy our ride back end of the season , then we Will also see Stef sign on and Galvin extend , Luai and Turuva join us along with I predict only 2 new faces , but strong additions
 
Raiders backs have over achieved this year, I don’t see them being that dangerous if we defend them well. Big job containing that all star pack though. Hopefully the boys are up for it after out-pointing a young Titans pack who had on off day.
 
Raiders will come at the Tigers hard, as they always do. If the Tigers are SLIGHTLY off on effort levels, we'll get pummelled, as we tend to do.

I think we should know pretty early if we are in the game or not.

If we match up in effort areas, we can beat the Raiders. They are that kind of team.

I actually really enjoy watching the Raiders play. That is exactly what you hope a lower-ability side plays like- 200% effort puts them in nearly every contest.

I thought both Millar and Mason looked impressive last week !
Was hoping Douehi might be good for this week but assume he needs another week
Also think Seyfarth should be in run on side and Porter or Millar on the bench

Miller was able to compete adequately due to his size [130kg], but he is nowhere near strong enough or fit enough for regular NRL. He was blowing hard after 2 or 3 runs. He's just a big kid at the moment and needs some time against men and an off season or two.

He'll be really good in time, but fitness wise at least, he is not ready.

11th loss in a row at Campbeltown coming this week
 
Hard to predict with this team. We are capable of losing games in the first 20 mins if they come out with a fast start and dominate possession. If we get into the grind early we give ourselves a chance.
 
What concerns me is the speed in the halves the Raiders have. Speedy halves always cause us issues. Strange is ROY so far, he has speed, strength and smarts - Weekes has been playing very well and would be faster than anyone in our side.

Their forwards are always strong bash teams up and their backs if given space do their job - their backs aren’t normally ones who create something out of nothing though. They are normally clinical and work into games.

If we start fast that throws the Raiders off their game & might be a chance.

If we play like we did against the Titans we will get thrashed.

Either way we need to score 20+ pts to win.

I really hope you are right champ.
 
I’m most concerned about Hudson Young. After being demoted from origin he will likely have extra motivation to perform.

Good assessment, I concur. We need a fast start!
No point going set for set with these guys at all...

We need 2 run them off their feet and play fast we're
not as big but much more mobile I'd say. I like the
selection of TDS again on the bench. We need energy
