Round 2 **Live game thread v Warriors**

Madge is very underrated as a tactical coach. He changed our attack in the wet last week at the advantage line and killed the Eagles who were weak on the fringes. Also sent Farah after DCE and put his kicking game off.
This week we slowed the back 3 and then gang tackled their front towers. In attack we kicked to Mamaulo and attacked Kata and Fusitua on the left edge. Most of the game we made their middle forwards make a huge amount of tackles and really tired them out. Both games played for the 80.

Unbelievable good result as I was fearing result of this game.
It’s great to see that the boys learned from their trial game …. and I have to agree ...... great coaching!
Now let’s not drop our guard against the bulldogs.
If we can get over that deficiency in our past performance psyche! ..... then I’ll be very happy.

Indeed it does. You made the point after the trial that, with an extended bench and unlimited interchange, it suited the big Warriors forwards.

Under match conditions, they didn't have the energy to go with us.

I agree, he lost me when when he preffered to go to watch NFL live during the preseason training, and than his actions against the club/Taylor - when he was 'injured' for the ISP games.
He is still a good player, but because of the above, too far from the club legend, which we all liked.

Reasonable. Some great defence and some terrible kicking.

thought he kicked well in the conditions …chased hard cut down the Warriors time in bringing the ball back especially in the second half..

None of our kickers have conceded a 7 tackle set so far..

Lack of a real goal kicker will bites us soon. To challenge the big guys you have to have a bloke who kicks 80% plus. I can’t ever remember Masters kicking one from the sidelines, probably has..but none come to mind

Marsters is just so inconsistent…still! He can kick so well at times then completely suck all within the same game. Moses was the same when he was with us. Now however, he's kicking them from everywhere with great consistency. Marsters needs to practice more.

Was never a great goal kicker of note but he needs to bring the ball back about another 4-5 metres to help open the angle up in my opinion

Is not like distance is an issue at all

Most kickers will have the ball on at least the 22 taking a shot from out wide
