The perennial 22nd man finally gets a chance!

I've seen a fair bit of Tony since he was 8. It was long suspected he didn't have the mongrel to get to the NRL because he was always the biggest kid but he was a good kid and never went over the top with his size. So many thought he just didn't have that agro required and would be left behind once he started playing against guys his own size.
I wish him very well in his debut.

Johannssen absolutely dudded If we're being honest.
Congrats to Tony but damn, we don't want the spoon
Tim would provide more impact and cover across the pack than Sukkar. How can someone who's outplayed a team mate every week for 3 months be overlooked in our biggest match of the season?
It gives the impression that Benji really doesn't care too much about winning or a winning mentality

Spine of Mason (19), Fainu (19), Galvin (19), Api (31) vs Gutho (29), Brown (24), Asi (24), Hands (24)

Simple math shows that it’s an average age of 22 in our spine and only that high due to Apisai’s age being an outlier. As for the Eels it’s a more reasonable 25. While age may not mean much, experience does and we definitely lack a lot of it this game. I hope we can get the win and I’ll be backing our boys to the death to do so. As for Tony Sukkar, he hasn’t been breakout star level in cup but he’s been solid. As for many I’d say Tim Johannesson would be my pick but you also can’t underestimate the power of a debut and the morale it does for a team. I say this with all due respect…. Let’s hump those dirty loser parrashittas to the ground and come out on top.

Doubt Sezer plays.

So I suspect Latu into half & Lobb onto bench. Reason being, if Api needs a rest, Latu goes to dummyhalf, Mason goes into halves, Staines to fullback, Lobb to wing.
Don’t want lobb , anywhere near the team , and I don’t think making that many changes would work , u don’t want to throw what combination they have out the window

Clutch game after all the massive club changes, unavailabilities and our usual season of mayhem, catastrophe and disaster. A win would stand for progress of some sort. Don’t ask me how or why.

Losing is not an option lads.

Win the game or die trying, that’s all I ask.

Go you Tigers, kill or be killed.

Believe!

You forgot, “ we will fight them on the beaches” and “ never give up”.
Now the wartime speech is finished.

Or maybe just say, don’t leave anything in the tank, last game of the season, trying to avoid a third wooden spoon, a full house and an opportunity to get something out of a long, frustrating season. Don’t choke, remember what you’ve practiced , run hard, tackle hard, play what’s in front of you and give it your best. Now Go the Tigers !!!

Well said Hal, as always Mate!!!

Hope so, he was just about our MOTM that night.
Saab just shaded him, but Peter had a big influence on the outcome of that game. Hopefully Peter becomes an honorary Tiger by the end of Friday night’s game.
My dilemma Hal, is how do we get Saab into the eels side for the game?

Just point at a wall Hal, you got me ready to run.

I like your approach Hal but I think this is the game where it is time to be even more low key. A couple of days quietly talking to some individuals about how they want to be remembered, to others about the faith the fans have in them and the remainder about the faith Benji has in them.

Benji has talked about families all year so the final points should be about the wider WT family (that includes us), a focus in on not letting down your mates and finally about not letting down your family.

Then just prior to running our hype them up by throwing an eels jumper into the middle of them and tell them that anyone in an eels jumper wants to take this moment away from them and their families. It might end with something like if its wearing the jumper and has the ball you belt it like it hasn't been belted before and if it stands before you with the ball you run through it like it doesn't matter! Perhaps with a few more colourful words to make them want to rip their heads off from the kickoff.

This is the toss you want to lose so you kick to them and belt them into submission!
