Haven't watched so can't comment on his game, apart to say that a good few on here wanted him over Brooks.

The new rules and the way the refs apply them will ultimately come down to what the broadcasters want. If we keep getting the majority of games blowing out, the instructions from above will be delivered to the refs. The broadcasters produced the draw based on ratings and the same will happen to how the game is played.

Of course it’s early days and it will take coaches a few games to work out strategies to play under the new rules, so I am guessing games will get tighter. Although I think we are going to see some absolute cracker games mixed with a lot of one sided bore fests
