LIVE GAME Round 3 versus Souths

Live Game Discussion
I don’t think anyone called AD the next immortal either …it’s certainly not the first time he plays one good game and goes missing the next …it’s happened his entire career

Anyone know what the injury is ? There was a reason Richo never gave him a long deal …remember folks?

I praised Adam's game last week too, still, his high points were his effort plays and charge to push his way over to score, not so much halfback play wise. We need more.

I don’t know what you are disagreeing about as you just went on the attack.
We had 100 chances to win that game, Souths were terrible themselves and they just kept on inviting us to win it with poor handling and ridiculous discipline at crucial moments.
We went away from everything that made us look good last week.
Why the hell did we starve our backrowers and Sione of the ball in the opposition 20?
Had we used them like we did last week, they would have run riot. Who changed that strategy? Why?
That is a bad loss that appears to mostly have happened off the field on the training paddock.
I’m not denying that we had terrible attack and we could have won the game. My beef is the absolute disregard from everything that happened in the game. The team had the effort, and that has not been there for years. We ended without both our halves, we had rookies on one edge against latrell… yes we weren’t great, but we lost by 4 in a season with stupid 6 agains. They had the right effort but just couldn’t get there… that’s all… can’t win them all.

If you re-watch the replay you will see he was injured in the first 5 minutes of the game. I think it affected his entire game but he wasn’t alone, the entire backline was just not right.
And the same old problem rares its ugly head, what to do when we get to the red zone.
Too much was written into the win last week, and no one counted on South’s stoic defence, admittedly made to look good by our pedestrian attack.
I wrote last week to those on here sprouting about our top 8 credentials, given the upcoming opposition, and now the likelihood of Luai, AD and May all missing, we could lose 3 in a row and no one will remember the Cowboys game.
Testing times ahead !

Looking towards his next contract. Guy has checked out of the Tigers, bet the deal for his next club is already done so he doesnt have to prove anything until his next contract is up with them in 4 years. Its the same with most just average first grade players. Sign your deal, play like shit for 3 years and then play well for 6 weeks until you get another contract. Looks checked out and going through the motions of his last year. He wont be here in the future.
I've said the same for 101 times.... We never learnt from the way Moses stuffed this club around with the "big 3"... it's happening again with Bula..

We were headless chooks in our attack , no idea when it mattered and we need a traditional ball playing half , A D is not a half in my opinion

I didn’t see the game,,, had to listen on the radio … what type of injury ? What part of the body ?
I thought it was his foot originally but it may have been a leg muscle. He came out for the 2nd half with a hammy support on and eventually left the field with what looked like a high hamstring strain ( in pain).

Yeah ok, that’s where we disagree then.
We HAVE to win games like that where we are the dominant team.
You can’t blame that loss on the halves being injured. It was them playing so poorly that was the problem.
The rookie wasn’t marking Latrell, he was on Wighton and yes he copped a bath. I don’t know why we aren’t using him as a winger, where he killed it in the trials. He hasn’t shown a thing a centre so far.
Yes the effort was there, mostly, but that was a weirdly prepared side that ran out there tonight and they took on a poor opponent and didn’t have a clue how to beat them.

LOL get out of here with that tired over used bullcrap….
We had plenty of good field position. Far more than them. We had far better possession and completion rates to boot.
Our halves were both absolutely terrible. Doueihi put in his worst game in over a year.
Luai….im getting sick of him stealing a living from this club. Nothing but a mug lair with a big mouth. I hope he really takes a long look at his game whilst in rehab. He should have done this over the off season but clearly hasn’t.
Souths forwards were better than ours.

KPP and Samuela had very quiet games in attack.

Multiple times the backline depth wasnt there and players were almost at a stand still receiving the ball. I dont blame luai and douhei for that.

We always struggle when we have a single makeshift centre, let alone two.

The team showed we still have a long way to go.

Lets just hope we can scrape a few wins without our centres and halves.

get madden steering the ship behind ths track we will be fine.
Luai spark in attack we will miss though

I didn't think we played too badly considering we lost our halves and had two kids defending an edge. They got rinsed early, but after that we played pretty well. Sure our attack was not smooth, but Souths defended well. If we hadn't lost Luai I felt we were going to win that game. Then losing Doueihi was the double blow and we were zero chance from there.

As per usual the crybabies are out in force here and their Saturdays are ruined. Have a beer, or don't have a beer if that made you mad. Idk, just chill tf out guys.

They weren’t better at all, their halves created more chances for them which may have padded their stats. Our backrowers weren’t used BY OUR HALVES.
Our forwards were not the problem. They had us camped in the bunnies end for most of that game. The Tigers spine had no clue how to score and ran around in circles feeding blokes standing still. Whose job is it to organise them?
