TEAM LIST Round 4 vs. Storm

Team List
Kade Hill would’ve been hard done by to get dropped considering he was one of the only decent performers last weekend.

They seem to see Reilly as both a five-eighth and centre.
And for the first two res games was it Wakeham 7 smith 6 ?
Are these two considered the reserve grade halves and would have trained together as such over the offseason?

1. Daine Laurie
2. Charlie Staines
3. Brent Naden
4. Adam Doueihi
5. Junior Tupou
6. Luke Brooks
7. Brendon Wakeham
8. Stefano Utoikamanu
9. Apisai Koroisau
10. David Klemmer
11. Isaiah Papali'i
12. John Bateman
13. Fonua Pole

14. AJ Kepaoa
15. Shawn Blore
16. Joe Ofahengaue
17. Alex Twal

Interesting to see how young Jonah Pezet goes for them.
I’m actually feeling optimistic about this game.
We lift against good sides occasionally, especially Storm and when they are down, we might get one over them.
On paper, our mob look better.

Yep, the first two weeks it was Wakeham #7, Smith #6.

Not sure if they were outlined as the first choice reserve halves, as it seems like Reilly spent a fair bit of time training at five-eighth over pre-season.

I’m sure Kade Hill and Zane Camroux would’ve featured too.

I'd go with Laurie over both of them.
Staines is like Brooks - he doesn't speak. I think Sheens can't afford to have two non communicators in key positions.
You do not need to be the loudest to play the FB position - that is a Sheens comment that people have tucked into. I thought Staines supported well across the park and did not over play his hand. Is he may type of FB, not really but he didnt make any mistakes from what i could see in the game.
Laurie is enthusiastic but has glaring errors in his game that costs us points.

If AD can play with control in attack and be that supportive player, then it will work although I see think he is better in centers.
Brooks on the other hand lacks any type of domination on the field. The HB is your general and sets out the game plan and in theory adjusts the game plan over the course of the game. Brodie Croft very simular type of player also.

Sean O'Sullivan/Jamel Fogarty - these type of players get you around the pitch in the manner of how a half should play. On the front foot.

Brad Schneider from the Raiders is one half i would try to get and move Brooks on.

But in typical fashion, Munster is returning from injury against us.

I agree but we've been the better team on paper 2/3 weeks. I hope they click.

Interesting to see who's running the show the million dollar half who's had 10 years to get it right or the other half who's on Minimum Wage !
We have a very good pack now although imo Papalii hasn't really impressed in his 2 games so far . Klemmer has been the stand out exceeded my expectations.
Our backline is mediocre but playing behind a classy pack means they have no excuses and must finally click . If not the spoon ain't moving in 2023 .
Sheens strategy so far try something and if it doesn't work try something else !

You are a wealth of info when it comes to the lower grades and I wanna say thanks I appreciate it.

Note the 3 axed 1st graders Nofo ,Joffa and Toa aren't listed to play 2nd grade either ?
Is something else happening here ?

Im happy to see what these changes bring to the team as a whole.....we are at rockbottom, can only hope they get it into their thick heads to play as a team, support the ball runner and cut the errors...
ONLY WAY IS UP......hopefully....

Would you want him to continue trying things that don't work? I don't get it
