My take from today. Benji will make it as a coach.

He outcoached Madge. Those early kicks behind the line had them stuffed.

First 30 was very impressive. Line speed and physicality was best I've seen for ages. We obviously ran out of puff before half time.

Right throughout the Broncos halves looked so classy, all the little things they do well and they really singlehandedly lifted them with the 2pt field goal, 40/20, then chip over the top. Impressive.

Then Carrigan with his smart offloading was also a big factor.

On the other hand, Galvin was really up and down. It's getting to the point where he needs to be better. Too often our attack jams up because of him, though his kicking options were generally very good, and despite my shouts of disapproval usually got good results.

Latu is the better ball player, much more deliberate in his play. Doueihi also looked clearer in his play when he moved to the halves late. I wouldn't drop Galvin, but it would be good if he could get more consistent soon.

May was once again terrific. He lifts our whole team.

Same with turuva.

Bird also good.

Probably could have brought hunt on before half time to get back that momentum.

Very frustrating watching the game and feeling dread about officiating. We got some unlucky calls, soft penalties on both sides, bunker interventions here and not there, its a big mess.

But again, hunt and Reynolds and Carrigan were just too classy, and it really showed the gap between our halves and theirs. Understandable with latu's inexperience, but starting to expect more from Galvin.

Decent play from Sukkar. It's funny how players appear average in lower grades and then play well in 1sts.

All I can say in the broncs members area they were not confident and neither was Madge behind me till try 2nd try after halftime. Latu staying off was a big difference. Not saying we would have won - but the first 3 missed goals, no try first try and Reynolds brilliance in the last 10 of the first half was a massive difference. I thought Sukkar live was impressive. Royce should really only on the field when we are on front foot - defence was what we needed. He was very good for about 5 mins. Not sure how long Sukkar played?

I reckon Sukkar played 65 mintues, Roycey didnt get much game time at all

Remember 7 to 5 tries to forward passes and we had 3 players out. They had none out at home. They also played with 15 players on the field. Yes we could do better, but it was stacked against us!!!

Decent play from Sukkar. It's funny how plays appear average in lower grades and then play well in 1sts.

Could depend on Favouritism; if entrenched players are the only ones getting a chance then 'fringe' players won't try. Hopefully, the Bunj understands this.

Especially with that rat Klein in the bunker.. as usual he runs over everything the tigers do with a magnifying glass and completely ignores anything that the broncos do wrong ,,, it’s seriously crap..after that cowboys disaster a few years back KLEIN (KLOWN) should not bel allowed anywhere near a Tigers game…

After Klown's infamous FNQ heist of round 19 in 2022 we did not see him and his short whistle again in 2022. We did not see Klown at all for the entire 2023 season! In 2024 we had to wait until round 15 for Klown to finally run out again after almost a two year absence. Conspiracy theories anyone?

Why 3 different goalkickers for first 3 shots..?Why bring Royce on in 49th minute ..why kick on early tackles consistently and burn our defence..?

wow that is a big call, i thought he tried his heart out, but i love Tallen when he came on and should have had more game time

We missed the early season impact of Bird coming on with Tallyn as well, but I have to say it again, why on earth wasn't the third part of the dynamic former interchange trio formula of Hunt put on with TDS when they were vulnerable, after being down to 12 players following the Piakura binning.

FFS are you just a troll? Seriously i am not bagging him, not sayin to drop him, not questioning his courage, ability or talent, I am saying that IMO tonight he did not play to the high standard i have come to expect from him… that a player of his experience and skill was rather predictable and sluggish compared to to his average game.. that i expect more from our captain.. cool?? 🤷‍♂️

My take aways from tonight’s game;
Orange jersey looks great
Benji’s rotation of players is unpredictable (I like)
Tony Sukkar is a hidden gem
Kicking early in the sets works
Benji looked very angry on the sideline during the last 20* minutes of the game remaining (I liked)
Biggest take away, refs decide… tiges were never a chance tonight 😔

Not sure I can cop much more of Bula. His positional play and attitude to defence leaves a lot to be desired. I'd say he is up there in with the worst in the comp.

It cost us the game last week him being on the other side of the field when the break occurred and tonight when the game was in the balance he was out of position on a couple of key occasions again.

Surely if we have top 8 aspirations we need to do better at fullback.

Yeah I don’t know what happened there. We were on top, then let a weak try in. The way they started after halftime is a concern, yet we fought for the full 80.
It was a very strange game.

Pretty proud of the team overall. If we had our full squad I think we go very close to winning. Just need to work on the 10mins either side of halftime. Maybe we all fall down injured at the 30 minute mark and we go to half time early. Then cramp up in the half time break and dont come back on til the 50 minute mark.
