LIVE GAME Round 5 versus Eels

Live Game Discussion
On the flipside, I’ve never seen a player whinge at a presser. Plenty of coaches, but not players. That’s until ol Mitch turned up tonight. How can there be anyone more unlikable in the game? Some might say Walsh, but he’s just an arrogant twat at times, but he backs at up. This other cat does nothing, has the media in his pocket and cry’s non stop. Not one single redeeming thing about this little prick.

Two massive plays by Sam Fainu today. Regathered the short drop out when were down to 12 men and really struggling. Regathered the short kick off when Parra had just kicked the penalty goal to go up by 2 points with 2 minutes to play. If he missed one of these I believe we would have lost.
Can only fault him for not hitting Moses harder!

Complained about the call the ref made when he Moses wanted to challenge. Then when Ryles is talking about the players they’ve lost to foul play, he butted in and said “he’s gone for the year” in regards to Simonson. Just seemed out in front of ski’s as a player in that setting.

Also talked over his coach Ryles multiple times, shows blatant disrespect to his own coach, officials and on occasions his own team mates.
No one says he cant play but gee whizz he is a deadset germ of a bloke.

Not for the first time, I went off early. I was wrong when I said this is the same useless team of the last 6 years. Their resilience and fitness are miles ahead on past seasons. But the attack is still clunky AF, Doueihi is lionhearted but no 5/8 and our outside backs are hanging on by a thread. Knights and Broncos will be a massive test. If either gets to a 2 try lead, they won't get complacent like the last 3 opponents.
Mate I was so close to quoting you to say you were going off early, maybe when their young guy scored the second try? I just wasnt confident enough that you were wrong lol

Yep huge plays 👍

I get everyone being critical of Luke, he has many errors and makes mistakes in defense, however, he's a damn good runner and that is absolutely vital to every set of six. He's fast and low to the ground and very physical. Skelton also does it well, but he isn't anywhere near as fast and he also has errors in his game.

You just lose so much go forward and running threat in dropping him. Young players make mistakes. I would keep him in the side.

If may is back in not sure who I would drop between Luke and Masi. Tavana has shown enough special ability to lock down the other wing spot. But with tavana on one wing, that makes Luke's hit ups on the other side even more important because he's a much stronger runner.
Yeah I feel a bit sorry for Luke. Coach's decision to pair 2 rookies on that edge. He's made some poor reads & dropped a few, but I wish some of our forwards would run it back like he does.
