How Laurie doesn't make our top 17 is just nuts to me. Clearly we see things differently but in the last full game against Newcastle he played he was one of the few that had a genuine crack.
His performance against the Eels in the same game last year was a cracker. Frustrated beyond belief over this one. Staines and Brooks - both empty vessels, Douehi drops his bundle at the slightest mishap and you could throw a blanket over the others other than Tupou who shows some genuine promise. Coaches have failed massively with this one imo.

Other than the annoyance I feel about Sheen's ineffectual coaching and bewildering team selections, I think we are wasting Laurie's talent. So what if he is a cocky, immature participant on social media? If he's one of the few players on the roster who can create something, he should be persevered with......in any capacity, whether fullback or in the halves. Somebody suggested halfback. Why not?

Love your narrative. I’d change it slightly. Mitch has his hands over his face because Luke’s field goal was falling short until it bounced off Mitch’s head and went over. Unbelievable scenes. Matterson crying because he dropped a $2 coin and couldn’t find it.
