LIVE GAME Round 6 v Knights

Live Game Discussion
AD is playing better for us than Nado ever has.
He needs to bide his time and keep playing well and actually earn his call up.

I'm not saying I want Douehi dropped. If anything I've been a big critic of his, but so far he's played well beyond what I expected of him. I just think Naden deserves a spot due to his form before he got injured.
He had earned that spot & I think he should get a run with Skelton likely out for at least 2 weeks if the recovery team are fair dinkum.
In saying that, I like the 17 we started with today, they are our top 17:and hopefully play intact most weeks.

Naden is a bludger ,but yes lets optimize his enthusiasm on trying to milk another multi year deal

Funny game Rugby League
Some times you play really well but things don’t go your way on the day and you walk away with nothing for your efforts.
I have always said you need to tackle to be a first grade player and what I saw today was OUR TEAM defending which won them the 2 competition points that they were after.
Congratulations Benji and the coaching staff with the 17 players who put the jersey on today.
I for one will never complain after a win, they haven’t come around that often over the last decade.
Let’s celebrate with the boys when the wins come along.
GO THE TIGERS

Given how poor Douehi’s kicking has been, do you pick Naden instead? If Skelton wasn’t injured I’d probs got say yes. I don’t think we should put Laulili and Naden in same backline.
Douihei has been solid at centre especially defensively. Naden is a straight swap for Skelton if he’s ready for 80 in first grade. AD needs some credit he has been good this year.

So happy we won that game but I must say we really didn’t play that well. We had enough ball and field position to win by 40 but were disappointing in A. Unfortunately Galvin had probably one of his worst games in attack. Kicked poorly, passed terribly, ran when he should have passed and passed when he shouldn’t have. As a team we squandered opportunities and were lucky that they turned over the ball to us consistently.
In D - we were pretty solid and deserved to hold them to nil but a series of rubbish ref calls allowed them in. Some of our aggression in D was great to watch.
Something I have noticed developing in our red zone attack when we have a few sets but can’t score, we seem to lose all idea of what to do next. Inevitably we make an error. We need to have better management of our repeat sets and last tackle options.
We will miss Skelton unfortunately.

He has proven very important defensively and with kick chase. Early days but the halves have to play better.
They look disconnected at times and Galvin gets most of the ball is he halfback or over calling?

And is Jerome to nice to put him in his place?

Someone has to be Batman

The knights have now scored 2 tries in 3 games of football since they signed Dylan Brown

Do they just stink or do you think the players aren’t too happy with the Brown signing? mainly Ponga who looks like an absolute passenger out there
I liked his new “scratch my belly” technique of getting tackled. That worked really well for us and I think he should employ that every game against us and NSW.

Don’t disagree, was just posing the question. He’s been good in many ways - let’s hope he can sort out his kicking this week.
