Round 7 spoilers

Players not up to NRL are banished to super league. Referees meeting the same criteria are imported.

Time for Klein to go.

I could not believe the first half where Cam was allowed to stand and debate for 5minutes metres from his own line.

The fact that Ash & Badge are both considered worthy of controlling finals after the performances they regularly serve up shows either the selection criteria for officials is garbage, there is no depth, or good young referees are being denied an opportunity.

Fox commentators stating from rule book - drop kick must be genuine attempt at goal. Looks like Klein got it wrong …..... again!

From the rule book:
DROP KICK: a kick whereby the ball is dropped from the hands (or hand) and is kicked immediately it rebounds from the ground.

Nothing about having a shot at goal. I don’t think it was a try as it wasn’t a genuine attempt at drop kick and he didn’t get to the error before it hit the ground. However, if they are going to quote the rule book they should get it right.

Fair enough!

To me the Fox guys were more saying they should change the rule to that. I didn't think they were saying it was the rule now.

Well I totally stuffed the translation then - sorry everyone :bash

Chambers has shown his class all night. Is that the class that demonstrates that regardless of how disgraceful you are as a human being, all is forgiven if you can run with a football

Loved TPJs game.
Flattened Slater with a facepalm and i saw him give Smith a few pushes.

What a player

… so of we beat the knights by 67 or more we take top spot on the table for the first time in our entire history.

Whatever you just tried to post Geo , Jinping didn't like

Seems like your infamous for your woeful Fantasy League / Draft teams and horrendous Rugby League opinions worldwide LOL

It was a picture of me on the Great Wall answering Don's question about you being C ..the answer is still NO…

Yeah and I bet the cord in his shorts was left untied intentionally ala Hindy to achieve this.
Such an attention seeking prima donna

Are there many WestsTigers fans over there Geo?
If not, I hope you have learnt to say "Are you on the Bus?" in Mandarin. Then quickly recruite a couple hundred Crouching Tiger Fans before kick off. 10 hours before kick off.

Unbelievable from the bunker…. Knock ons are ok if your attempting a kick

He was clearly intending to kick so if you're allowed to drop kick in general play (and not only when attempting a field goal) then I don't see the problem with it. I don't know what the rule is about drop kicks in general play though.

Yep he was intending to kick - mistimed and dropped the ball - knock on. I think its one of those grey areas that says if you intentionally meant to do a drop kick its playon. Leaves it up to refs interpretation of whether he intentionally meant a drop kick instead of a normal kick - brain dead rule and brain dead decision.

Please.
A. Kick is when the ball leaves the hands and contacts the foot.
A drop kick is kicked simultaneously as the ball touches the turf and contacts the boot.
That was a howler and Slater knew it

Not really "simultaneously". The ball bounces.

But most people agree ita not a try. Tedesco did it laat year vs titans.

If the nrl allows that as a try then technically isnt anyone who drops the ball (knock on) permitted to quickly kick it?

No, because unusually he was clearly intending to kick when he dropped it. If people just drop the ball then it will be obvious they weren't intending to kick and it will be a knock on.

But you are allowed to do that as per the rules:

If, after knocking-on accidentally, the player knocking-on regains or ****

**kicks the ball before it touches the ground,**

a goal post, cross bar or an opponent, then play shall be allowed to proceed. Otherwise play shall stop and a scrum shall be formed except after the fifth play-the-ball.

So it was a knock on - the ball touched the ground before he kicked it.

Well, Cammy says it's nice that something went their way for a change - unlike the first 4 rounds 😱pen_mouth:
Poor Cammy. He must be really hurting with so much going against him.

Yep should have been a knock on as not an intentional drop kick and it hit the ground before he kicked it.

Lol…There are 2 WT fans on the tour ..we are going to try and get a stream for tonight but if not WTF will need to suffice ...so some detailed commentary would be appreciated....was wearing the WT polo n cap on the Wall...the Chinese love the Tiger..so I'm in about 7000 Chinese randoms photo's....

Oh and we have 1 token Queenslander...we stick him on the back of the bus ...no one talks to him or understand his dribble....

Sounds like the footy so far has not been short of controversy..not much changed eh..
