TEAM LIST Round 8 vs. Sea Eagles

Team List
My reaction the last time Staines was moved to to the wing after playing well at fullback was, 'what the hell?' Seriously, just what is this old buzzard thinking? Staines was our best player in the last game.....at fullback!!! As others have said, Bula has been out for weeks, wasn't in great form before that and, he's very inexperienced. In my view, he's on a hiding to nothing but I hope I'm wrong. I like Laurie but his form doesn't justify promotion whereas Simpkin has been very good off the bench. Finally, coach favourite Talau returns but will add nothing. We were good against Parra and combinations were building. Except for replacing Doueihi, give them all another shot. Continuity old boy, continuity!!

Great to see Sheens has lost his marbles..
Or has them all still. This is the sort of crap that got him sacked years ago.

Seriously picking a kid who is playing basically his first season of senior football and has missed the last month is borderline negligence towards the kids confidence, health and future

Im really glad sheensy is using his kris kringle present - a bingo ball to good use during team selections

Trying to understand some selections:

Jake Simpkins - Has only gotten very limited game time. Api is basically playing a full game, so in effect they see it as wasted bench spot.
Sean Blore - Has been slow to start the season. Is ok defensively but may be lacking offensively.
Tommy Talau - May be more of an attacking weapon on an edge? (Expect he and Kapeoa may swap)
Charlie Staines - Looked good in attack but is reported not to have a strong voice at FB. Can consider himself unlucky.
Jahream Bula - Tim Sheens sees him as Teddy 2,0. Will make mistakes but i suspect this will be a window to the future.
Brandon Wakeham - who else?
Daine Laurie - There for some spark if we need him? I think if Wakeham cannot create anything we will see Daine in early

You worried about Blore offensively but Twal who kills the play by burning the 5th tackle is in .
Biggest problem is our center match up

Laurie will no doubt make a big difference when he come on with 5 mins to go.

No one will give it to him if he has a howler.

My view is Shenji played their long term card at fullback now & will give him the rest of the season. I doubt playing in nsw cup will help with his development anyway so chucking him into the deep end will show us what the kid has.

The question will be if Bula nails it will some give Shenji some praise.

Do you praise a broken watch that gets it right twice a day?Having said that i and i am sure everyone else hopes Bula has a great match

I have not seen any hate towards Bula in this thread just people finding it hard to believe that the coaching staff have named a team with a lightweight bench and a player being positionally moved after being our best player in the last game.Pure Sheenius
Absolutely.

Compared to other teams selections the thing that stands out is how often Sheens changes his mind on almost every backline position .Does that mean he's still experimenting or he's just not quite sure what's our best combinations

Getting a rookie fullback to step into the NRL and become a match winning influence would be like striking gold for us atm. If Bula steps up Shenji should get some praise, don’t see it myself but happy to have egg on my face in a few rounds.
