TEAM LIST Round 8 vs Sharks

Team List
I'm fine with this team.

We really needed the W last week to show we didn't need Galvin, but the truth was the halves pairing was not up to it.

It would be better for all if Latu was available, but alas.

I dont think Galvin is the kind of person to tank a match, so it's not a Mitchell Moses type situation.

As Benji said last week, he picks the team he thinks is the best chance of the W and he doesn't have to explain himself to the media.

I also dont think it's weak as some fans said here. Coach made the point that he holds the power. If we really are going to hold Galvin for 18 more months we need to make the most of that for the club, and that includes playing Galvin if he's the best option.

If there is more nonsense from Galvin or his crew then you drop him again. Tigers wield all the power right now, Galvin can only agitate, but the past week has shown that agitation doesn't do his reputation or standing any good.
As you say Galvin is not the type of person to tank but I’m half-expecting him to be a late withdrawal on mental health grounds advised by Moses.

That would really F us up with AD having to return to the halves (after not training there during week) and Bird starting at centre.

Yep, OMT, it is laughable - but not for playing 6. I never, ever saw him, as the pundits described him, as a "ball-playing lock". But I do remember that this kid was Peter Principled at a far greater pace than should have been done by a management team that ought to have known better. HM to NRL in a year wasn't it? Now, that is simply child abuse!
definitely not meaning to mock the player. Just don't understand the plan for KoE, or the plan for this player positionally or in regard to development.

Yep, I get that mate and I agree - sadly he seemed to be a kid who was wheeled out as a recruitment drive boy like a young Kid Captain America - those days must have been horrible! But then I remember the Big Kid who was the glue to those winning HM reps - Jordan - biggest kid on the planet for his age. He Came, We Saw, He Conked Out!

Surely the club is prepared for that possibility?

A risk not worth taking if he is in your best 17. We tried that last week.
So we lost.
Still worth the so called “risk”.

Losing to Parra is no proof that we can’t win without him. Likewise if we had won without him, against the last place team, it would have said nothing.

Remember we lost 18 games last year with Galvin holding the reins.

He’s not the Messiah, he’s a very naughty boy.

This is so embarrassing for the club and its management. Make a really gutsy move and drop one of our best players (which was well received by the fans and whole nrl community) just to come crawling back. Looks so spineless and just gives more fuel to the media. If this was the route we were going to take then shouldn’t have dropped him in the first place. Or at least say it’s was to give him time out of the spotlight I.e. turuva at panthers
They made it so the only way we didn’t look like knobs is if we won the game, and without the best team on the park.

Apart from all the speculation and bullshit, that’s a much stronger side than what we played against parra at ‘their home game’. Not sure I want to see Naden again. But at wing he can have a shot. What’s the update on Skelton? Miss him.

Liam Kennedy has not been given an on field referee role for this weekend after Easter Monday's performance.

Unfortunately he has 1 game in the bunker....not hard to guess which game he is in there for...

Its the second time he has been “rotated out” after reffing our games. The other game was against Broncos. Pretty sure the clown in the bunker on Easter Monday was dropped (rotated out) as well.

Adam Gee was in the bunker on Monday. He somehow actually got extra games in the bunker this week (now has 3).

Are you implying he’s intentionally sabotaging us? I can cop that the refs are completely incompetent. But to suggest there is a conspiracy against us is Q level rubbish.
I am absolutely questioning Liam Kennedy integrity. If its a one off you could be forgiven for thinking the ref had a bad game. He got “rotated out” of the on field refs for round 6 after his below par performance in our game against Broncos. Amazingly after his first game back Eels v Tigers he is “rotated out” again. The bloke clearly has an issue with us, his decisions says it all. You can call it rubbish all you want but he wouldn’t be “rotated out” 2 of the last 3 weeks if the Nrl themselves thought he was ok. As far as Adam Gee goes he had the luxury of a replay and still had 3 clangers which impacted on the scoreboard.
