1963 with Wests Magpies eventually loosing 8-3 to the Dragons in the Grand Final, it was where the famous photo of " The Gladiators ".....Norm Provan and Arthur Summons.
1966 Balmain made the Semis but Magpies lost to Newtown in a Play off game and in 1975 Balmain , Wests and Parramatta were tied for 5th spot and had to play play off games amongst each other with Parramatta winning the Play offs and going through as 5th Position.
