Rumor - Chris Lawrence To The Raiders 2015 !

If Lawrence moves on then we really need to sign a new good centre. This seems to be our problem, we get rid of underperforming players on big salary then we sign NSW Cup or ESL players to replace them.

I will be upset if nobody replaces him

Has a nice ring to it actually. There are quite different options if Lawrence does decide to leave. We've already locked all of the ones above to long term contracts iirc.

I would rather Lawrence off the bench or in the backrow than to play for someone else though.

I find it amazing that no one has corrected the title. Rumor > Rumour.

As for Lawrence I hope he stays. It only takes one game to turn it around and he was much better last week.

I hate this club paying part of someone's salary while they're playing for another team. On top of that, we'd have to pay a replacement a decent sort of salary too. So are we any better off? If there was a better option for less money then fine, but otherwise I'd rather keep him.

Yeah, people have been saying Lawrence 'is showing signs of improvement' for 3 years now. 2 steps forwards 3 steps backward. In the end he hasn't improved in 3 years.

The fact that we're paying him and playing him means we lose out on and off the field. Even if we're paying a third of his contract We could have an extra 300k to sign someone new or re-sign another youngster, and we won't feel obliged to play him every week.

The best thing for Chris in the short term is to play NSW Cup. That way he can work on some form and speed under less pressure.
