Rumour, Comings and Goings 2009 / 2010 season...

Our current situation, with a halfback I don't think we need one with Moltzen going well he should be primed for our next halfback.

I agree, stick with Moltzen the way he is going our halfback problems will be over.

Despite us being linked to Nigel Plum, the man himself is saying the Raiders have told him he wont be re-signed and no other NRL clubs have shown any interest at all.

i always thought moltzen was a halfback

you can tell he's not a fullback, ( he doesnt like running the ball back from a kick)

and he was an Australian SchoolBoy

Sign him up for a long term contracr

Karhmichael Hunt, ive heard he might go to Souths
( cause of Wing leaving)
but i think thats bull crap

Not sure if we should buy a fullback or keep gallant?

We've already signed Mitch Brown as a fullback, so I doubt we'll sign another. It'll either be McDonnell or no-one I would have thought.

Ummm…since we released McDonnell this year and he is now playing for Newcastle...it's highly unlikely he will be picked up by the Wests Tigers for next year...

Based on today's performance i'm not suprised.

I wouldn't want N. Plum at the club. He was at the club playing for the Magpies a few years back and couldn't crack FG with us so I wouldn't like him back when he can hardly get a start with raiders. On the weekend he only played because canberra had a few injuries. He also came off the bench.

Can anyone shed any light on where Danny Galea stands at the moment regarding a contract? It's been posted that he is linked with Manly for next year. Is that pure speculation or is there something more concrete. Would be a shame to lose him now because he's probably our best defender

Cheers….. and go The Tigers!

Top player. Has never played a bad game.

I understand that he has been offered a miniscule contract for 2010\. Typical Wests Tigers.

He is a good defender but one dimensional. He is EXACTLY the kind of player that should be offered a contract, but not a big one. We have a thousand back rowers and some VERY good young ones coming through. If you offer a big contract to the likes of Galea yo seriously limit your options for the good guys.

I could imagine the Storm or Manly picking him up and dropping him in the backrow. He is the type of player Bellamy & Hasler would cherish.

Whilst I'm not surprised at his snubbing (let's face it, stranger things have happened at this club) I am very disappointed. Sheen bought him from Penrith as a centre with a view of turning him into a 2nd row/Lock and if we are to go off recent form has done a very good job at it. Danny has had his far share of injuries of that there's no doubt, but again if we are to go off recent form is as good as gold. I hope he is retained but wish him all the best if he chooses am more attractive offer. When will we learn?

I Don't think its any coincedence our defence has tightened up since Danny Galea has started for the Tigers and therefore played more minutes.. H'es the type of player we need, let's hope we keep him because we may have a lot of backrowers coming through, but can they hit like Danny..?? I would rather Keep Galea then Payne if that was an option, Both dont offer a great deal in attack and both can hit but I think Galea can offer a little more..

I think sheens has done a very good job in maturing D Gelea into a 2nd. It would be a shame if we lost the way he is playing this year I would love if we signed up. It would be a really big loss for us if he went to the storm or manly.
