Rumour: Miller wants out

Twitter is the new generations version of writing on a toilet wall and just as reliable. The only difference is the comment reaches an audience beyond those with irritable bowel syndrome.

You should only believe rumours you start yourself.

You are using a social media platform to insult other people because they use…social media?

For everyone else, the OP clarified the rumour part and where he got it from very clearly. Put the knives away.

Don't know if this has been mentioned elsewhere but their are rumours Farah and Miller had a dust up at training today and miller wants out, I have been questioning the source on twitter but he's very confident, saying it is 100% true, take of it what you will but he is generally reliable. Just thought I'd share…

You would never see cam smith do that. He is a professional. _Posted using RoarFEED 2013_

I think that this post is more than ridiculous. It is based on a rumour from a source on twitter (could be anybody?) that there was a dust up. No details are given as to what the twitter spy defines as a dustup - was it an all in brawl or was it a just a verbal diagreement? Then the twitter spy goes on to say that Miller wants out. We are then told that it is 100% true. This post borders on childish. Post should be constructive.
As to your point about Cam Smith I suppose you are going to tell me that Cam Smith's coach Bellamy would never admonish his players either?

What I am saying us the storm are a professional club with a winning culture and the tigers are not.
I don't like whingers and Robbie is certainly one.

If he is just going to take orders from Farah, then it won't matter who you put at number 7\. I think Miller has ability, but to me he seems timid and indecisive, Miller has to be dominant at halfback! he has to steer the forwards around the park. (Well the forwards we have left anyway). I can also say the same about Anasta, at the roosters he was barking orders all over the park but I haven't seen much talk out of him so far. Farah and Marshall and great players but they are strangling any attack with to much sideways running and trying to do it all by themselves, sometimes they just need to pass the ball.

Thanks guest. I still support the wests tigers and always will but the club is poison at the moment.
We sacked the coach last year and after 4 rounds this year nothing has changed. We have two very inconsistent marquee players and there is feuding happening. I don't need any rumour to confirm that. It is quite obvious.
All I did was point out a very good hooker and captain in cam smith and he is someone Robbie should aspire to be. Lets hope he does. We are paying a lot of money for him.

All we need now is what weve seen in the past….two poor performances b2b, a journo comes lurking, finds this rubbish and its national news....does NOT help the team one iota....in fact its detrimental

So just ignore it and no worry about it.
I think this is something that needs to be talked about. I don't even know if they trained yesterday. But I don't need to know. It was clear on Thursday night that there is something going on. And if there isn't then we have a stupid coach. IMO Robbie was taken off for disciplinary reasons. He was mouthing off at miller and it was clear he wasn't happy with him. And yes he is the captain and has the right to. But I don't think Robbie as a captain has supported miller the way a captain should on the field and that is very bad. I'm sure something will come out this week. I'm surprised nothing hadn't come out yet.

But that happens sometimes on the footy field I've seen blokes punch props at half time ,other blokes shirt front other blokes

But when you are having a beer post game ,an apology and a handshake and all is forgotten most times (Unlike today when they would hug and cry for hours and spend 4 months in therapy trying to work out what caused it )

Playing on a footy team is no different from work or school you play with blokes that you may not necessarily associate with off field ,but you have to just learn to get along as best as possible

On the footy field you are a completely different person to who you are off the field, after the game sometimes you don't even need to apologise. Things sort themselves out and the other player knows that things get to you during the game.

I've yet to see Robbie (captain) run over and pump miller up on the field. All I have seen is arguing and blatant blaming on field. By our captain. You guys can keep running down this story as much as you like but it's just ignoring the bleeding obvious.

By the way potter took farah off for 20 minutes. Our captain who we just signed for a motza over the next 4 years. That can't be ignored and saying that it was an injury or resting him for origin. ? What an absolute lie. He was taken off for doing something. I just don't know what is yet. But Robbie wasn't happy. That was clear. So you guys go on ignoring the obvious.

I don't know if you guys know this but rugby league has changed from what it was years ago. It's now a professional sport. Arguing on the field by our captain should not be tolerated. I don't care what miller did. You don't do that especially in the way that Robbie did it.
He is a sook and happy to blame everyone else for the problems the team has.

Not trying to put the boot into you, but dont you think its odd that he carried Iosefa on the bench if you think he was benched for doing something? It was obviously a planned move. Do I think it was coaching brilliance, no, but it did allow Potter to suss out options if Robbie is called up for Origin so it wasnt a total waste.

That's worse then.
Farah obvious didn't even know the plan. Our captain.
We are in serious trouble if this is the way the coach is moving forward.

Yes they are professionals, thats the whole point. They work in a field where they dont have the option to call someone aside quietly, do you propose Farah called for a time out and they ran off to the sheds for a D&M? The only thing we can take away from the on-field spat is that Miller miraculously turned up after he was pasted by RF, he got involved and put some good kicks in play. No matter how you slice and dice it is Robbies job as captain is to manage players on-field, and in this case he seemed to make the right choice as his actions had an immediate effect on Millers presence and input.

I dont like how some are hammering you in this thread, I really dont, but you are not helping your cause at present.

IMO it was a total waste and a very stupid decision in the context of the game. At that point the game was up for grabs, Potter benches Farah (our best player, heart and soul leader and one of our best defenders) and by the time he brings him back on the game is out of our grasp. By all means test the waters for Origin time but choose a more appropriate time in the game.

I totally agree, but understand what he was trying to achieve as well. Did it come off, No.

Good thing is, it was only one game. Not being able to take advantage for the first 25 mins with all that posession, unfortunately the writing was on the wall. What we do have now, is tape that will be disected which will document and prove deficiencies in our structure for Potter to work off. I know that the first 30 we played Parra we looked good with a different structure, it was new to us and we gave it away, but that didnt blossom from the players themselves, it was Potter engineered, and positive as hell.

As much as it was poor timing, it is a scenario we have to give full consideration to. Even though it seemed madness, I personally think that taking the option earlier in the season to present a platform that the rest of the season can be built off is positive in a way.

Within 10m of the tryline less than 10 from touch, we still had Benji between Farrah and the wing on the blind side. Honestly, if you are going to sell that raid, have Benji and Miller towards the centre of the park and let Robbie draw from marker to make space. Potter isnt a fool and will be able to illustrate problems well off tape from that game. We know they are receptive to his strategy to an extent, and I feel that game is worth more in tape than 2 points to us.

Arguing….plural?
Ive seen one minor incident where the (C) was pissed off at something, I couldnt even be sure who it was aimed at....youre inferring several incidents, exxagerating wildly

No one said it was due to injury or resting, Potter said it was planned, it was due to apparent fatigue

You need to be careful of what you say, accusing the coach or players of lieing

Seriously I don't think anyone is hammering me. I'd like to think that this is an open forum for the fans to chime in about what ever they want. I haven't offended anyone (I hope) and no one has offended me.

But this is an open forum and yet someone comes on and says delete this thread? Why sweep the issue under the carpet? I think it is relevant because whilst the rumour might not be true at all there is something happening.

I think farah is a great player and still yet to reach his potential. A lot of people disagree and I expect that on this forum. But he he does have some issues in his game and he needs to fix them.

Don't worry Tigsta, it's all good. Rumour threads always stir up a lot of emotions and conjecture - it's par for the course. Not to mention, I think most of us are stil hurting after Thursday night (I know I am). You've done the right thing by putting the word 'rumour' in the title of your thread, so at this stage that is all it is. Who really knows? You will be vindicated if it turns out to be true.
