Rumour: Tedesco signs with dragons

What did he say, link won't work for me.

Basically that he just wants to know who the coach is going to be before he commits to the club for the next 3-4 years. Although it may take a bit longer now he's happy to wait and put his head down and play good footy in the meantime

He said he was happy with JT and believes he played his best footy under him the last 2 seasons, just wanted to know whether the club would resign JT or sign a new coach before committing to the club long term

It would be the smart thing for him to do. It's not going to hurt his value one iota to wait and see who our coach is. He can afford to hold off for a while, unlike the 6 and 7\. Would be silly signing elsewhere before we announce a coach. And with the Dragons no less.

Said he didnt know about JT getting sacked until after it happened, said he never said he wouldnt sign until coach is known, but would really like to know who is coaching before he signs. Said last 2 weeks were unacceptable, and looking for a good show this week. Also said he hopes the new coach can make them more consistent as that is their problem, and contract talks are not affecting him. In no rush to sign a contract.

Yeah exactly. It would be silly to sign for the next 3-4 years not knowing who he would be playing under. That's pretty much exactly what he said

You can tell from the interview that he hasn't signed anywhere and sounds like he doesn't plan to even think about it until the new coach is known

Pascoe can simply not let this happen. Losing Tedesco would break this club. We could build a whole team around him next year with the cap situation. Here's hoping Cleary can perform a miracle.

Has Cleary signed ? Pascoe did say they are in no hurry to find a replacement so if this rumour is true then the horse has bolted.

I think Pascoe is foxing there. The club can't afford to take their time, especially when the ideal candidate is standing right in front of them.

I would like to think Teddy was going to Saints until the coach got sacked, now he is staying, that would be believable

Or the other way around…

Yes Geo maybe the faceless 5 should've consulted Teddy about how he felt about JT before wielding the axe

I heard a rumour that Teddy was allegedly seen eating a Big Mac, must mean he signed with McDonaldz for five years for 2mill a season.

I'm thinking Dogs. Kasiano is well known as a Big Mac fan. Coincidence?

Sorry, it was KFC not McDonaldz, which is a chook, so that must mean it's the roosters for 7 years at 1.9 mill a season??

You have to PM demps..that's how it works…

Tigers would have enough funds to match any offers made for Tedesco, he's our marque player! If he signs elsewhere then he's doing so because he no longer feels he can play his best football in Tigertown - which (if true) would be a devastating outcome for fans and a huge setback for the club.

If the rumours are true and Cleary has already been offered the job, the club needs to close the deal asap so that the new head coach can talk directly to Teddy and the others or their agent about re-signing. I read that to sweeten the offer, the Club will give Cleary control over player retention and acquisition.

Agree. Not only would it be a devastating blow on field, it would be a catastrophic blow off the field. The club has gone out of its the way the last 12 months to make him the face of the club.
