@avocadoontoast He's a bench impact player, has no gas tank so I doubt he starts much. Hardly the most important player in the team.

Just my opinion but you are criminally undervaluing Aloiai.

I'm gobsmacked by the signing, but deep down i want to give Madge the benefit of the doubt here.

None of us are inside the dressing room, so don't know specifically the reason behind the signing.

I would assume Madge thinks Tim can plug a short term gap, but moreso could act as a good mentor and example to our young Props going forward. On that basis, on a cheap deal, its not really the end of the world.

My only concern is that it ties up salary cap money that could be used to buy a quality long term player if they were to come onto the market some time soon (Penrith rumoured to be shopping around RCG and Blake, which i would jump at if we have time to move on a player or two).

I just hope this doeasn't mean we have shut up shop in the hope of recruiting some quality long term players for the year.

@avocadoontoast The good thing is "he does not have to" ...... its his call and just because people can not see the value or practicality of the situation ..... BAD LUCK brother!

We. each have views on players. Josh must look no further than Matterson to know what he must produce onfield. Clerk any Mannah must come in, who goes out?

I've had time to reflect in the signing of Mannnah and although he's never been a superstar, he's probably ok. I think maybe he's a similar leverage tool as Ballin was. But he'll stay on the field and we should get our money's worth out of him.

Shock signing indeed. Mannah is synonymous with Parra. Foolhardy to think he's looking at hanging up the boots at the end of the year if he signed half a season with us.

Not enthused about the signing at all. Gives his all but his best is well past him.

Mannah to the bench Chee Kam out of sight.
Clark is just not right yet. But I have confidence in him. He needs some more time on the weights to add some steel to those soft parts of his body.

Underwhelming,to say the least.
why didn't they keep tim grant,if an experienced front rower was required.
perhaps his signing will begin a domino affect with the out of favour players at the club.

I don't undervalue him at all, think he's great off the bench.

@eyewondertwo Tim Grant was carrying some serious injuries. Turned out to be the right decision since he just retired.

not sure what people a complaining about, at this stage it's only for the rest of the year, it's not as if our props are doing great either. He's coming here dirt cheap and this could be a swap deal for DWZ with Packer and or Mats going.

I have a feeling if this is in fact true he will sign into next year as well. It doesn’t make sense that a player who was possibly going to retire at the end of the season takes that opportunity away from himself to be known as a one club player, just to play a handful of games for another club...Fingers crossed that something else is afoot at WT HQ.

i thought this a s well but it may also be that he thinks he is a better chance getting another contract somewhere if he is getting in run in the top grade rather than reggies. He has obviously been told that ain't happening at Parra.

Smart signing.

As good as Packer and most likely on a bargain deal. Makes sense if we're drowning under the salary cap.

This must mean Packer's about to move to the Dragons?

Sad that his time at Parra ends like this if true.

I'm stunned

Yea i agree - Parra should be ashamed to let an 11 year one club player leave mid season with no farewell. However this is probably where our problems lie - we are not ruthless enough to play with the big boys

You kind of have to give the guy credit. He'd be shattered but is moving on with minimal fuss. There's a few that could learn a thing or two from the bloke about being humble.

Never going to retire at the end of year.

Hes had a very decent career and relatively injury free throughout considering he has been the mainstay of a largely dominated forward pack for the best part of a decade.

I respect his attitude and commitment and he will be good for the young members of the team.

Most are expecting rubbish from Mannah, which is great for him. All he has to to his play one solid game by WTs standards and there will be a flurry if us praying he resigns. Mannah would be stupid not to come to us.

Bit like the Farah signing. We'll get the odd good game from him but over all will be ordinary. It does nothing to improve the team.
Im shocked people are welcoming it.
