Rumour: Tigers sign Tim Mannah for rest of 2019

According to newspaper reports, Tim Mannah will make a final decision today whether or not he will sign with Wests Tigers for the rest of this season.

Sounds like we can only pay him so much for the next 4 months. Parra won't top up his contract. So either he stays in reserve grade in Parra getting paid in full but unlikely to be able to get a contract in the UK or he joins us, loses 40k in the immediate future but has a chance to play for a few more years in teh UK.

Seems a no brainer, but also poor form from Parra to treat their captain this way.

What a hide!. Wasn't it Mannah who called Madge looking for a gig after his club told him he was finished as a regular first grader and wouldn't be re-signed and now he wants more time to decide whether to take up Madge's offer or stay at the Eels! We should tell him don't bother-the offer's off the table!

According to me, neither Tigers nor Eels fans really care one way or the other. Is a has-been footballer going to stay at his current inconsistent finals non-contender club, or join another equally inconsistent finals non-contender club?

Am I going to have a sandwich or the leftover curry for lunch? Hmm decisions, decisions.

@Curaeus Im tending to agree- say sign today or thats it. No more hanging around. We can promote from within to fill the gap. We are loosing dignty and pride with this farce. It ends today one way or the other.

I'd be going the curry for sure. Always better the next day.

Correction, he's going to stay at an inconsistent finals non-contender club, or go to a ***consistent non-finals*** non-contender club.

Sorry that's one double-negative too much for my brain!

Screw Mannah. Can't believe we are even wasting time talking about him. Recruit from within and take a chance on a young up and comer. Not sure who we have but there has to be someone. Let's buy our time and wait for someone better. Mannah can rot away in CC. As someone said the other day, we don't need another Braithe coming here to lever his own retirement plan without any interest in wanting our club to really succeed. Mannah doesn't give a rats about WTs and I don't blame him, he's Eels through and through.

I would suggest we say Thanks but no thanks and bring up Kane Bradley from Reggie’s rather than waste money on a player that we were willing to give a chance and now he wants to make us wait.

Stay at Parramatta and go out a club legend rather than waste both clubs time

Yeah i thought it could have been an astute signing, but its sounding more like he wants more than we are willing to and he deserves from us. I wouldnt mind betting there are some games quota's in there from his end, so im over it promote a young bloke. Give Oli Clarke some game time anything is better than being strung along by Mannah.

I was going to post the same thing, give that kid a crack

Its funny reading some of this and people upset Mannah might not sign. I remember seeing this signing rumour on Facebook and being close to tears, thinking how far have we fallen?

Lets get over Mannah and concentrate on bringing through some of the young guys, the future of the Tigers!

Thank goodness. Wests tiges can now sign one of the own juniors rather than an old stand in for a couple of months. Mannah obviously wanted more money than Wests tigers were prepared to offer.
