It’ll be a fiery game like the Penrith one. Kinda wish josh Reynolds was out there perfect game for him. Joey would probably take someone’s head off again

Who cares where the only ones reading it hahaha it’s not like people from other clubs would even notice he’s said anything haha

The article might be fake but Marshall’s comments aren’t. Pretty weak. This guy used the club as a door mat, then still has to get his digs in this year when we release another player. And Benji with the “it’s cool bro” response. That reaction annoys more than Matterson’s supposed comment. Even if it doesn’t bother you, you need to at least show that it upsets you. No wonder clubs walk over us. We show no outward pride in the jersey.

Benji is a professional. Talking badly about a former player to the media would reflect poorly on him and the club. I’m sure behind closed doors they’re filthy but no need to make any comments to the media. Let’s see how they turn up on Thursday instead of worrying about what they say in interviews

I disagree and it’s probably why we have looked mediocre for so long

The media basically crap on our club once again after a positive win and Marshall plays friendly with the opposition and praises the turncoat who left our club after giving him a wonderful opportunity

Just compare Farahs stance on the situation compared to Marshall, chalk and cheese

Personally I would be incredibly embarrassed if our players publicly had a go at people who left the club. It’s a weak club, losers mentality in my eyes. Go show it out on the field instead of just talking about it otherwise you’ll look like an idiot

Walk the walk instead of talking the talk. We don’t need every other club laughing at us. Benji is too smart to buy into the media BS

As the old saying usually goes, nice guys finish last

Every club already does laugh at us because we’re too nice, and also have the longest finals drought of any club. Hopefully the past month has instilled some ruthlessness about our team with players being dropped etc, I have faith Madge can turn things around

Don’t have to be nice on the field though. Whack him and win the game that’s how you get back at him and shut everyone up. No point talking big in interviews if you can’t back it up

Don’t have to talk big in interviews but wish players weren’t so cliche. You could pop the question up on the tv screen these days and predict what they’re going to say 9 times out of 10

Everyone’s media trained for these interviews now. Besides Pascoe apparently

Nah. I'm actually happy Pascoe said something. It wasn't rude or offensive and I'm sick of everyone kissing each others asses. We have been screwed over a few times now by certain individuals and I'm glad Pascoe is pissed. He has heart and is sticking up for the club, as long as he doesn't sink too low.

He’ll make the club look very stupid if we lose. Time to move on Justin! Gotta be professional

Can you imagine the Roosters or Storm giving this sort of thing oxygen?

They dont need to
Those two teams are at the top of there game
Their football has always done the talking

We should be doing the same. You don’t see Madge making these sorts of comments.

Madge just needs to coach
Outside noise can be dealt with by front office

There was nothing in those words from Pasco
And I wouldn't believe to much about what's printed
Unless you see those words come out of Pascoe's mouth word for word, don't believe it
Everything tends to get twisted out of shape to appease someone
As Trump, who is a convicted Rapist and Felon would say

I would genuinely prefer if a player came out and talked about Matto like that. At least a player can actually back it up on the field, Pascoe is up in a corporate box giving fuel to someone he doesn’t even have to tackle. Stick to the business mate

Sounds like your issue is with Pascoe or his position rather than the actual situation and what was said

I heard he had a blow up with Robbo when he left the roosters too like he wanted the second row spot and they signed Crighton from souths he had tue poo's and we signed him.

Yup. I would still be disappointed if a player went on about it but having the CEO make petty comments like that is embarrassing. He represents literally our entire club! He’s not out there making tackles either!

Pascoe sitting in his corporate box firing up our former players to play against us does not seek smart ?

I have always hated Parra fans ever since Taniela Tuiaki injured his leg against them in 2009. I was at the game, and when he got injured, the Parra fans booed him for going down, that he got up & walked off the field with a broken ankle, and never played in the NRL again. They are so classless, they booed Corey Norman in his first game with the Dragons, even though Norman didn't want to leave but Parra didn't want him.
I dislike 15 teams in the NRL, some more than others, but I hate Parramatta because of their fans.

I honestly believe they are the worst fans in the league. Have felt like that for the last 40 years....

Or you could look at it from the perspective that perhaps we have an administrator and leader that actually cares, is passionate and us prepared to get dirty in the trenches. He’s certainly not leading from the balcony in this instance. Good on him I say.

Do it in private. No need to make our entire club look like we are still upset about one player it’s small club mentality. When fronting the media be a CEO you’re not out there making tackles mate

Gawd if players need to be fired up by previous Clubs comments ..they are pretty useless players..

Of course but keep it behind closed doors

Out in the open is better. NRL needs more of this and clubs that continually destabilise others and players that take easy options should be called out more for breaching contracts. I love it ratings will be big for this game.

To be honest his hand was forced the Eels released a statement it was false the Tigers know what was said. Tigers had to respond.

In either case Eels are the better team and should win well. I think this benefits us but at the end of the day the off field stuff has zero impact on the game.

100%. Time for Tigers to push back. I’d say there’s some anger about the non release if Stefano as well

God damn they're arrogant giving him 5 minutes over 2 weeks when they have forward injuries. It's as if they're trying to crush him before he comes here. Shove it up your ....... Parramatta.

I agree with the poster below.
When the Eels decide to release an offical statement to defend whatever was passed on to the media saying it was a lie, someone had to defend our honour.
I’m glad Pascoe said something he did it on behalf of the whole club.
Takes the focus off the playing group.
I don’t think I’d want the players talking politics and grudges with other players. They should just be commenting on the upcoming game.
We don’t know who leaked it to the media. Might of been an ex coach, sponsor or ex player.

Also Happy_Tiger hit the nail on the head. Take them head on and break their confidence.
Limit their good ball opportunities and really make them hurt when they run the ball.
They are a team that focuses on high energy. They started really fast last year against us. We need to grind them out of the contest for the first 30 or so.

Don't care what Matterson said, doesn't make it worse or better. What he did is still what counts and I hope they destroy him on Thursday.
